Johnson was sounding like a republican years before he switched party.

Based dude.

When I found out he was the mayor of Dallas, a liberal city, I was pretty ecstatic. Couldn't happen to a better shithole city to have their beloved "democrat" change party affiliation.

Winning by 5% is scary to me that it is that slim. Darn Houston, SA, Austin, Dallas about to control our senate seats.

Are you familiar with Texas' abortion laws? My sister is a nurse in labor and delivery at a public hospital here in DFW and she insists that doctors won't perform truly medically necessary abortions even in extreme cases. I personally don't buy it, and it's difficult to argue with her because I don't see it. I also haven't really read up on the way Texas handles medically emergent situations like those. I just don't believe any of that is logical and can't allow myself to believe that even a dead fetus can't be removed for the woman's health.

my mileage has varied on this.

my boss (who is pro-life as well) had a neighbor that was pregnant with twins. one tragically passed in the womb at 7 months. their doctor told them they wouldn't remove the baby until she gave birth to the live twin.

absolutely horrible of course. as pro-life as my boss and i both are, neither of us think that's what should be happening.

maybe i'm just entirely off base on this, but i think that is a Doctor fearmongering when they know that they wouldn't actually be charged.

i'm open to being wrong. i also told the lady running for state rep to look into this. i'm all good with elective abortions being outlawed, but not the rare instances being discussed here.

Shite ton of out of state money will help. Tarrant county will keep going blue too with all that soros/Bloomberg money and all the out of state financial folks who are stupid voting for the shite they left. Don’t know why southern Right doesn’t just say “don’t forget why you left your prior state” messaging.

Cruz is a coward with no honor. When he was running for President in 2016, Trump insulted his wife and family. Cruz was all mouth and trashed Trump. Then Trump wins and next thing you know, Cruz is kissing Trump's ring claiming politics and nothing personal. I could never be a politician, you insult my wife like that and I will need some bail money for the assault charges.

Dem/commies definitely blitzing the TV from the POTUS downwards hoping to control the media and attract voters with a high frequency of ads to create name recognition, but totally devoid of content.

I’m in the ATX area and there is a great ad running often featuring Alexis Nungaray (Jocelyn Nungaray’s mother) linking Allred to her daughter’s murder due to his support of catch and release.

Last I hear, it’s a 4/5 pt lead for Cruz.

Isn't that because if they tried to remove the dead one that it may cause an early birth for the healthy one? Seems like it would be riskier to perform that procedure than to just let it go full term for the healthy baby. I could be wrong here. I'm not a doctor

Allred’s campaign is pretty much what Cruz’ is but for democrats. We’ve gotten a boatload of out of staters here now but I believe Lion Ted will prevail by 6pts

That's how it works in national politics. Your decision is in part a reflection of your electorate. If he pulls out a win this year it is in part because he fell in line. If you would have run against Donald Trump he would have identified your weakness and pounced on it just like he did to everyone else he considered a threat.

Are you voting against Cruz? Because otherwise I'm not canceling your vote.

My point is he really regressed. You can still say that while realizing he's still better than any Democrat.

I see an equal number of Allred-supporting ads and Cruz-supporting ads.

Given Cruz's popularity level (which on a scale of 1-10 is a negative tree fiddy), I think this race is close (even though I expect Trump to easily carry Texas).
