IMO we remained involved in the Middle-east for one reason - Oil. Saudi Arabian oil. Under President Trump our domestic Oil & Gas drilling and production has skyrocketed. I remember during President Trump's first term America did what I thought was impossible - we became No. 1 producer of Oil & Gas in the world. Contrary to the alternative energy buffoons the world runs on oil.
And the Iranians understand that - that's why they kept attacking those oil tankers attempting to pass through the Straits of Hormoz. Interrupt the flow of oil and you keep that price of oil high and you convince the American electorate to kick Donald Trump out of office. And don't think for a minute our pal Mamdani and his Islamo-Marxist pals are not keeping their eyes fixed on the situation in the Middle-east.
Like I said the delusion is real and it is rampant.
President Trump is right about............everything.

Maybe I'm wrong but I believe very strongly that if we can oust the Islamic Iranian regime from power and replace it with the Shah and a secular government, almost all of the Middle East problems will go away.
Islamic Iran is the chief instigator of attacks on Jews and Christians. Once a new Iran is in place, US foreign policy can re-focus away from Islamic Iran and focus on influencing Israel's behavior, if that were to be necessary.
But with Islamic Iran around, US foreign policy must focus on suppressing islamic aggression and protecting Israel from destruction.
I'd like to get rid of Islamic Iran and focus on influencing all remaining ME government to behave more moderately and more peacefully.

I agree but I think that ship sailed after 30k protestors were killed in January and we didn’t get involved. Trump’s major miscalculation in this war was starting it too late IMO.

Figure out a place the new Iranian fighters can train.
Once they start missing meals they will come for training and food.
Let retired Iranian military guys vet and train them with a handful of US special forces.
After a few weeks of training, stop feeding them but create a trail of hamburgers to where the IRGC fighters are, give them ammo and a kick in the butt.
Provide air support logistics and some special forces when it makes sense.
Backfill with US troops in fortified positions.
Provide soap and razors to any 10/10 non IRGC Iranian women and some food.
Figure out a place the new Iranian fighters can train.
