If tweet fails to load, click here. This is a Pennsylvania poll and they’re unable to get their quota for republicans while democrats are off the charts.
People claim you can weight the samples but that’s just not reality.
IMO the republicans that do answer surveys are far more likely to be anti Trump or more traditional neocon types who aren’t huge Trump fans… which skews the sample.

Any conservative that has to work with Democrats knows they have to keep their opinions to themselves because otherwise the left wingers will make their lives miserable and try to get them fired. This mentality of not sharing your true feelings about anything, including randos calling you, has become ingrained in many folks on the right. If youre working in any number of fields the word getting out you haven't drank the kool-aid is a career death sentence. You really think people are gonna risk their data/anonymity being protected by these scumbag polling firms?

When Trump ran against Hillary I told everyone Trump was absolutely going to win and there was no chance Hillary was.
Everyone said "what about the polls, they say Hillary is a lock". This is true, that is what the "polls" said but that was ABSOUTELY not what the data under the polls indicated.
If you looked at each of the polls (which anyone could do), it was there in black and white that the Dems were grossly over-polled in each instance that had Hillary in the lead (which were most of them). Anyone with a brain and a little curiosity knew what was going to happen.
If you are polling 10% more Dems than Republicans, it's not a shocker that Hillary was up by 4%. The networks should have picked up on this, but they didn't want to see the obvious.

I don't see how any of this polling can be accurate with no real mechanism to contact 1/2 the population.

Not so. I do not respond to poll inquiries because I don't know who they are or what their intent is.

You just need 10,000. That's the golden number.
Math bros destroyed.

Fake news
The same polling showed Democrats down in the 2022 midterms and their support down among Hispanics and Blacks in 2024. That was accurate
Polling firms already know this and have digital polling
They track the accuracy of these polls and they're more accurate in recent elections.

Most of the calls I have received are not simply polling. They are "push polls' where the questions push you towards a specific candidate. When I ask the pollster why they are "pushing", they usually admit that they are paid to asked specific questions.

Nah. I've gotten polling question texts and calls. Haven't answered a single one. Why? Between that and out of state assholes spamming me wanting to buy parcels of my land I'm friking sick of the spam calls altogether. And no I don't want to answer a bunch of questions when I get home from the office.

They want ypu to shut your mouth.
And you comply?
That is the problem.

When I get texts asking for political opinions I reply "Not today, Stacey Abrams."

I don't answer emailed polling surveys from the GOP or the Dems. This morning I got a Dem email from Bill Nye the Science Guy. He said Trump was bad.

No shite. I screen their calls. Even if one does get through, I hang up on them immediately. I know I'm not the only one, which is why the polls are useless as shite unless you're trying to use them for propaganda purposes.

As a Republican since I was 6...
There is not a snowballs chance in hell that I would EVER respond to any kind of survey.
frick you, that's my data.

My phone has received multiple text messages every week for the past 2-3 months wanting me to participate in a poll or to simply ask if I'm voting in the upcoming election. Out of the dozens of solicitations for polling requests I have only completed one and I have not answered any questions regarding whether I'm voting in the upcoming election.

We arent stupid enough to answer any spam calls. Democrats live for the phone calls and surveys to say OMB.
