Bono
A hilarious story about Bono was making the rounds a while back. Disclaimer: Don’t know if it’s true or not, but it’s always good for a chuckle.
U2 was performing at a soccer stadium in Glasgow, Scotland several years ago. After a song, Bono, in his usual pretentious manner, stepped up to the mike and started slowly clapping his hands…each clap about a second apart. He said to the near silent audience: “Every time I clap muh hands, a child in Africa dies.”
From the front of the audience, in a loud Scottish brogue, came the response: “Well then, stop fookin’ doin’ it, ya evil bahstahd.”

We're broke. George doesn't understand basic economics.

USAID is an intelligence agency outside of any oversight and does not require an oath to the constitution (as is the case will all NGOs).
If they did not want the humanitarian part of it cut, they should not have loaded it up with spies and black ops.
frick USAID.

Well, I bet the Dixie Chicks like him now.

Imagine if we still lived in a country where ALL past presidents got along and worked together for common interests. The left started this with Reid's lies in the 2012 election. They drove a permanent wedge with their petty fits during the first Trump term. But the GOP should rise above it and move on.
To be clear, USAID is a wonderful idea and worthy cause... when we don't have more pressing needs for the money at home. Shame on Bush for allowing himself to be used by the "useful idiots" Barry & Bono. We need the money to fix what democrats broke, the border and the economy. We gain nothing from sending pallets full of condoms to Africa.

Deep state laments the cutting off of deep state funding.

USAID is one of those things that was a great idea that was bastardized by political expediency and the desire to cloak covert operations on a global stage.
In essence, instead of making the intelligence community do their own dirty work, they co-opted USAID. Once other political operations realized that it was “allowed” the Nobel idea was lost and became a slush fund for pet projects. Its final form went so far as becoming a perpetual growth machine for the body politic itself, heavily skewed towards left leaning ideals.
Just another nobel ideal bastardized by the corruption of human nature and its unwillingness to really understand the nature of the slippery slope in things we bend for our own myopic desires….

The 1 million plus deaths due to Iraqi Freedom (thousand of US service members). The estimated 500,000 to 2 million deaths due to Enduring Freedom (Afghan) (thousands of US service members). GWB and Obama had their hands all over these two. A couple of real travesties and tragedies at the hands of these two pieces of shite.
According to the two of them, these programs going away are the real tragedies of our day. Ashamed I ever voted for GWB.

Bush, Obama, and Bono could be using this time to organize private donation drives to “make up” for any USAID cuts. Instead, they bitch.
That would require actual effort, rather than doing nothing and letting gov checks feed their bank accounts.

Exactly, bush and obama can donate all their own money for whatever charitable cause they want. It’s unconscionable to force the American public to fund said charities!
You can say that again!
Oh, you did. Good.

Well of course he does. Is there anyone alive that still doesn't know GWB was a major part of the Washington problem?

So the message is, we need to pay up or people will die.
