Secondly, Dolt, even if you could magically skip over Mexico you can’t just pi k a random border spot. You have to apply at a port of entry.

Seeking asylum is legal, but lying about the reasons and not showing up for your hearing is not. Your argument falls apart faster.

No, it's not. The UN rule is that you have to seek asylum in a neighboring country. Honduras and the US do not share a border. Even if they did, Honduras is not engaged in a civil war with massive civilian casualties. It's a fake argument.

This woman was ignorant of the process, because she was unaware that there was/is such an allowed abuse; that is, allowing unchecked throngs of masses to simply claim asylum and be giving blanket entry into the US until the process is sorted out (which can take years!).
But even given her ignorance of the loophole, which was put to her by the interviewer as a “got ya,” she still recognized there was a problem with our system.
A real, and unbiased, journalist would’ve restated his question: “ma’am, you may be unaware of (insert policy), and it’s under such that these people will very likely seek entry, which is legal under our current laws. Given that knowledge, is it that policy, with which you have issue?”
