Noonan is a Saturday columnist in the WSJ. I used to like her columns for the most part up until the 2016 election. She is severely infected with TDS. TDS has also spread to their editorial board and columnists. I used to consider the WSJ a conservative newspaper. No more. Their news division has skewed left since the sale of the paper to the Murdoch clan. That was well before Trump. But it’s now infected the editorial side of the paper too. It is time to retire Peggy Noonan and the rest of their editorial page contributors and the board.

Another spoiled and spiteful so-called Republican who’s been largely sulking on the sidelines since 2016.
Instead of acknowledging the clear wishes of the voting base over the past decade or so and seeing what they needed to do to get back the base with a winning message, these so-called Pubs instead wish for a big disastrous frick you to DJT and as a result, the voters as well.
More than obvious the overriding priority for these types of Republicans has always been their own power and control. Screw the people.

Jeeze, Noonan hasn't been a conservative since I became an adult. 40 years back.

Noonan the plagiarist:
Did noonan plagiarize Reagon speech surly bonds of earth? ChatGPT response:
You're referring to Peggy Noonan's famous line in President Ronald Reagan's January 28, 1986, address following the Challenger disaster:
"They slipped the surly bonds of earth to touch the face of God." That wording comes from a poem titled "High Flight," written by aviator John Gillespie Magee Jr. in 1941, not from Noonan.
30 Years Later......Noonan acknowledged using the poem. In a 2015 account for AARP, she explained that she remembered Magee's poem from seventh grade and deliberately inserted its language into the speech.
So your question about plagiarism has a legitimate basis: the original speech used another author's distinctive language without giving the audience contemporaneous credit.

Shes just mad the Democrats who pretended to be Republicans on TV lost power because their voters turned on them. Its gutless swine like herself who resulted in Trump being elected so who gives a fvck what she thinks now. Shes on her knees for the Bush/Romney crowd and what have they done for any Republican voters in the last 20 years? Not a GD thing

Kennedy wasn’t one of the first ones to come to mind, but the corny, plain-speaking, country-boy act has certainly grown stale. I won’t be sorry when he retires.

These people don’t realize that the DSA has no intention of ever relinquishing power. The Rinos are useful idiots to the Democrats and will be punted once they don’t need them.

Is she trying to replace that ugly lady at the Washington Post as the most reviled "center-right" commentator?
edit: giving her credit, Jennifer Rubin is the ugly lady's name.

Another arrogant RINO.
More concerned with ceding control to the democrats to "purge MAGA" and "rebuild" the gop, instead of keeping power out of the radical dems hands.
Following from behind.
This is exactly why the gop lost support.
This board is full of this strain of republicans.

GOP is never going to be like it was.
Trump has changed it forever.

None of you are. The GOPe embraces big government and so does MAGA.
Is that why Trump's DOJ refused to fight for the NFA? They're so big government that they are strengthening the 2A?
Is Trump big government when he pushes for reduced regulations? Lower taxes?
Is the admin supporting big government when they refuse to give out fraudulent funds?
Is it big government to have the smallest federal workforce in modern history? I know people like to dismiss this one specifically, but trying to say that literally reducing the size of the government is not being against big government is ridiculous. Rules and regulations mean nothing without the people to enforce them.
You ignore the evidence that doesn't support what you want to believe.

No she didn’t plagiarize that. That would require an attempt to deceive. Those words were so obviously taken from that poem that anyone literate knew it. Something that obvious doesn’t require citation.
And example of this is the many times someone says, “We the people…” No one accuses them of plagiarizing that because it’s frigging obvious.
