I mean not really. Personally I don't worry about the government taking my guns. Government would need my permission which they will never get. I understand why some would worry though. Doesn't mean they do not care. You can feel sympathy and also worry that a tyrannical government may exploit this tragedy.

I don't think anybody really thinks that's on the table anymore. The one good thing about Covid is it made every American fall in love with their guns again. The Left is now pro-gun at large now as well. The Left isn't really talking about confiscating guns anymore save for that retard Beto who is running for governor in the state that loves guns the most.

As a parent of three kids age 7 and under, my only thought right now is a deep sorrow for those parents. I literally cannot even imagine going through that.

We better start looking into what triggers these overwhelmingly late adolescent males to do these types of things. Most of these shootings are done by males , mostly white ( this one Hispanic) around 18-21 years of age. There is a sick pathology at play. Could be video games, could be social media, could be the schizoid voices in his head talking to him.
What is strange is that you don't necessarily find this happening in mostly black schools. Columbine was white, Parkland was a white kid. Adam Lanza was white. Back in the day, the school shooting in Arkansas was a white kid shooting white kids....same at West Pearl. There are lots of alienated boys out there
