If your employer requires you to get vaccinated, and you have complications from the shot, are they liable?

I doubt it. You can always quit, which is what they will hide behind. One of the best things about the US is you can vote with your feet. Get out of any city/state that pressures local businesses to require covid shots. This is a put up or shut up kind of event in our lives. I know it's a hardship to leave your hometown, but if the politics have turned against you* - it's time to leave.

*take it as a warning, because there will be more events just like this one.

Hmmm. I wonder if there's data showing that it affects the severity if the infection?

In a very stupid thread about people missing work because of covid, you still manage to be the most stupid person posting on it.

Companies should be able to hire and fire people at-will.

Right?

Being fair, we have had many who refused to get the shot, have railed on their employer and refused it, now when they miss work, shouldnt the company be within their rights to fire the person for knowingly putting themselves in this situation.

And the vaccinated that get covid and miss work should be fired also, since their sickness caused the same staffing issues for the employer.

How would you rationalize it further when the quadruple shot fools still get covid too?

If you've taken double digit boosters and die from covid, is your salary paid in perpetuity to your designated beneficiary.

Why don't you explain just why the post I made was stupid, asswipe?

When you don't, you will admit to being the stupidest poster in this thread. No surprise.

Lie about your vax status

ETA: though you'll probably get caught when you don't "die suddenly" from some mysterious blood clot

I am not vaxxed. Got Covid. Never missed a day.

My every-boostered team has missed weeks of time, combined. fricking remote work and they missed work.

Shouldn’t vaxxed workers that miss work get fired?

A company theoretically has the right to act as such.

However, then they open the door to...Should an employee who misses work due to physical health when he or she is way overweight and doesn't exercise be fired?

What if one contracts HIV or some sort of STD and it causes them to miss a couple days?

To what extent is that company going to go? Miss time because you tore your ACL playing in some adult flag football or softball league?

Do you normally fire workers who get the flu?

Almost everyone I know that got the vax and was boosted got Covid, some 2-3 times.
Classmate from high school double vaxxed/ double boosted got Covid in March, spent 2 months in hospital some of that in ICU with renal failure.Had no co-morbities other than age (73).Not fat, never smoked.

I mean the original vaccine isn’t even recommended anymore. That one got destroyed when omicron ran through. They try to play catch up with the boosters and mutations.

So at this point, unless you had the most recent strain, you aren’t immune. So all the vaxx talk is nonsense.
