Orange will be blamed but who really cares?

The CARES Act and Covid distortions are finally coming home to roost and the reality is the economy can’t grow without a constant increase in government spending.

We are already in a recession and we have been for over 3 years.

Coming into the election, the economy was a central topic. Some said we were in a recession already.

Going by your definition then we did go into a recession under Biden.

I do not get why people with "common sense" can be so manipulated by the Dem party and their propaganda arm, the media.

So, we just went through a REAL RECESSION by the REAAL NUMBERS, but if you flood the economy with BORROWED MONIES the numbers do not show a technical recession, but that is what it was and still is slightly leaning that way tbh. Gov/ spending should not be counted in the damned numbers.

Oh ok, so we're going to go back to using that definition now.

I totally forgot about that whole bruhaha....Definitions change!!! What nonsense!

Remind me: was it Democrats and the Media trying to call it a recession during Trump's 1st term but GDP wasn't negative for 2 consecutive quarters? Or was it during Biden's term when GDP was negative for 2 consecutive quarters and the media refused to call it a recession?

Either way, it was ridiculous how the media would change definitions on a whim. Just like how they changed the definition that a vaccine didn't actually guarantee immunity, therefore the mRNA shots could be called "vaccines" despite not preventing you from catching COVID.

And I prescribe to the belief that no one president or elected body can cause a recession or expansion. They can affect how good or bad it will be, but the business cycle is bigger than any one person. Always will be. Otherwhise, why wouldn't the party in power just flip the switch and keep making us richer (and them in power) inperpetuity?

Democrats were at the wheel for 12 of the last 16 years so it’s on them if we blaming political parties.

For those in the back, WE HAVE ALREADY BEEN IN A RECESSION

They changed the definition for Biden, now bringing it back for Trump. It's ridiculous. We have long been in one.

If? We've been in a recession for a few years now. Covering it up with massive government spending doesn't change the facts.
