The only way to bring down inflation in groceries and housing is to remove the 15 million extra people in the country that was let in during a 3 year period.

That’s not true. I’m in favor of deporting a lot of illegals, but inflation is not a reason. Plus there are other ways to reduce inflation. The proof of that is that the inflation rate has gone way down over the last year and they never deported anyone.

If you cut off free stuff and severely penalize any business that hires illegals, they will deport themselves.

Gang members and violent criminals will be deported. Every one who crossed the border illegally is technically a criminal but the violent and repeat need to go first.

This is a very sensible post, and I believe it is about what Trump will do.

Absolutely and I agree with your example. I did not clarify my feelings well. Whatever practices or policies we already have in place should be executed thoroughly. I was thinking more as far as some "new" program/directive that sounds great but probably wouldn't be put into action.

I’ve always questioned the logistical probability of mass deportation. I don’t think people have the stomach for the holding facilities (camps) that will have to be used while they are rounded up and not sure what we do when countries won’t take them back.

I think the masses would have to be motivated to self-deport. Perhaps a law that requires illegals to go back to their country of origin by some date and if they don't, the penalty is they/their family will in time be deported and will forever be unable to reenter the US.

Prolly no "mass" deportations. But, hopefully a few million. And then a closed border.

"Mass deportation" in the sense that you see millions of people rounded up in some big operation and put on a plane back to their country won't happen due to due process issues, logistical issues, cost issues, and political issues.

What Trump did differently from 2017-2021 was a few things.

On the border:

1) He increased border security. It may not have been a wall across the entire border, but CBP was more active and able to substantially increase their detentions.

2) Things like MPP (Remain in Mexico), increasing mandatory detention (Matter of M-S-) for arriving aliens, ending public interest paroles, and the temporary third country transit ban helped to substantially lower the desire to enter the US. The third country transit ban didn't last long, but Biden's Circumventing Lawful Pathways regulation is actually more restrictive and still in place (funny how the media let that slide).

Internally:
1) ICE began enforcing their detainers and detaining people for even things like minor traffic offenses. He also brought in judges who were stricter on releasing people on immigration bonds. It essentially became that if you were picked up by ICE you were getting removed.
2) Took away the ability of DHS to use discretion to not go forward on cases for people with different equitable factors.
3) Sessions quickly issued AG decisions on a few things that limited asylum eligibility and limited the courts ability to administratively close cases. Most of Sessions asylum decisions have been rolled back, and some litigated out, but not allowing courts to administratively close cases remains in most of the different circuits.

Biden has essentially begun doing #1 over the last 4-5 months quietly in a lot of swing/red states, but again the bias media doesn't report on it for fear that they lose the open border base.

Unfortunately while deportations are warranted most home countries won’t take them back. Hence, there’s nowhere to send them. The Biden Administration has royally screwed the country and it’s citizens.

How about we trade some of the Kamala votes for illegals? Since they want them here so badly

The media would be blasting stories about families ripped apart and productive, valuable citizens taken from their communities.

First, they aren't citizens.

Second, once the deportations begin, a lot of them will self-deport out of fear.

Third, I couldn't give a cold, hard crap in the snow what anyone thinks. They shouldn't be here. Adios. Sayonara. Arriva derci. GTFO.

It doesn’t have to be deportations, it can be creating an environment where they don’t want to be here.

Punish companies that hire them.
Eliminate freebies.
Arrest for crimes.

No. Too expensive, and far too complex. Birthright citizenship is going to stop it before it ramps up. Trump would be better off proposing policies that secure the border and reform immigration.

Key things must happen:
Must have House and Senate majority.
house must abolish the supermajority rule.

prolly going to take martial law in certain portions of the country if top things are in place.

No, but I do think he closes the border the next day (campaign promise) and puts in a task force to fix the problem.
