Whatever, but your entire point is that the budget can't be balanced without taking on social security, which is a line item totally offset by income at this current time.
It's one of the very few items that have an income stream to support it.
The many other items, with no direct income to support them, like education, defense, etc., are the bigger targets.

$4,900,000,000,000.00 (or about $500,000,000,000.00 in the Red)

They are only going after fraud. Once tgey remove the deceased recipients they need to cut SSI and re-evaluate those on it to make sure they are eligible.
