That's the hard hitting rebuttals toward people that do that stuff for a living by people who are actually clueless about the subject that I love about this place.

It's about refining capacity, not crude availability.

Because oil is bought on the futures market. If you’re buying oil at 100 dollars a barrel and the price per barrel drops to 70 dollars, you still have to sell through all of the oil you purchased at a higher price. It takes time to unload the inventory,

Nothing if you have plenty of money and don't care about fuel prices.

Is this Trump's version of "Putin's price hike"?

Trump's inability to rein in midget Zelenskyy is only rivaled by his total failure to rein in midget Fauci.

2. Not enough refining capacity in the USA because of climate change believers

How much foreign diesel do we rely on then? My understanding was that we are a net exporter of diesel. So our refineries are selling it at a much higher rate to overseas buyers correct? So including shipping costs and port fees etc etc, it's still more profitable for our refineries to send it elsewhere. I mean I can't fault them for this but damn it would be nice to take care of our own first sometimes.

It is being used as the excuse, even though the conflict has been going on for 4.5 years. Iran is obviously not helping. But, you make a good point, DJT was going to solve Ukraine/Russia in 24 hours and he should be able to rein in the midget. I think Rat Boy at CIA is undermining him and encouraging Z. They met in Dublin a few weeks ago.

Trump is the one who said he would end it day one. Dont get mad when he’s called out for his own words.

I guess he underestimated The Euros' appetite for war and self-destruction.

So, you are going with "Zelenskyy's price hike"?

Do you understand how god damn dumb it was for Trump to say he would 'solve' the Ukraine-Russia War on day one and on top of that get bent out of shape when people mention that? Lets also remember that Iran was supposed to last "two weeks" just like "two weeks" to slow the spread turned into five months. Do you see a pattern here with Trump? I do.

well it used to be because of the war in Iran but, now it apparently is because ukraine is bombing russia refineries. who knows. next week.......it might be because americans are using more now than the likes have ever been seen.

CNBC had an expert on discussing this. In addition to the refining issues, the actual oil being moved out of the strait is experiencing much higher shipping costs. Instead of a single ship moving the oil out, there are multiple ship to ship transfers occurring to get it out. This has increased the cost of shipping up to 5x.
