I have said this probably about 20 times now on these sort of posts.
Not one thing will happen to her. She is a black woman in power and having the heat on a city from removing a black woman in power is not something the others in power want.
She can get away with anything on earth short of murder and not one single thing will happen to her. Yet, she will always try and be a victim and say she is oppressed

No, she really wouldn’t. A viable candidate didn’t run against her because of the bullshite king making and corruption she displayed. No one wanted to get cut out. She isn’t well liked like many outside the city believe.

The city paid Metro $13.60 per home each month for twice-a-week garbage and recycling pickup. Under the new contract, IV Waste and Waste Pro are being paid about $22 dollars per home each month for once-a-week pickup. The contract that previously cost taxpayers about $11 million each year now costs $19 million a year.
I am confused, don’t residents pay garbage collection fees through their water bills. The garbage fee should be equal to what the charge is 88 dollars, but that sounds high.
I know in other parishes, some have an extra partial cent sales tax for residential garbage collection and no fee on your water bill. But I don’t think a parish like Lafourche is getting raped at 22 dollars a week for one day of collection. Lafourche parish has 2 days of collection, but you are limited using the contractors cans and if you want a second you have to purchase a second one from them.

Watch the story linked in the original post. It sure does seem Lee Zurik made the case. Of course, I’m sure Destroya and her cronies would have a different version, but they refuse to comment or participate in the story.
Of course the fact that they wound up settling a lawsuit in the bankruptcy court for $4 million doesn't help their version of the story very much.

Did you read the article? They were servicing 70,000 homes and only being paid for 65,000. They couldn’t keep up with staffing because they were being shorted $1M a year. They had a third party look at the contracts and other documents and come to the same conclusion.

Help me understand this-
Did you watch the video? The city didn’t pay the company what it was owed and the garbage suffered. Then they paid a new company what they should have paid the old company and the garbage improved.

Zurik is more politically connected in the city than she is.
And Latoya is connected to a bunch of underage and barely legal thugs like the one she "supported" by showing up for his sentencing where he got a slap on the wrist for four armed car jackings.
She ran that “juvenile camp” and made lots of new connections. Do you think she was doing it out of the goodness of our heart? To be clear, she has no goodness in her heart. She is as evil as Hillary Clinton and she doesn’t do anything unless it benefits Latoya.
Given all the arm carjackings in the city, no one would blink an eye of suspicion if Zurik, or a family member, just happened to be killed in yet another "random" botched armed car jacking that goes unsolved.
Would you really put that past Latoya?

This is what you get when you let white women vote. Especially the Tulane white trash retards.

This seems to be a non story. My garbage is actually picked up now instead of not picked up for 3 weeks.

That's what the story linked in the OP shows.
They city actually broke its contract with Metro by not paying for up to 5k homes per week then doubled down on that by not paying them for the extra tonnage they picked up after Ida.
At one point the city hired a firm to look at the contract, the firm found that the city was at fault and Cantrell simply ignored it (as they ignored attempts by Metro to meet with them over this).
The city apparently still has a frickton of federal money they are sitting on that they could have used to catch up on their contract deficits, they haven't.
The owner of Metro supported someone against Cantrell in the last election so at the very least it looks political.
From the documented proof provided in the Zurik piece, Metro has a strong case against the city.

I’m not following …
You need to reread the story then.
They were doing a good job for 5 years.
Then they had to pick up 5,000 more homes than their contract stated without being paid for it.
She refused to use funds available for this very scenario to bankrupt them.
Then she gave everything they were asking for and more to her friends.

The worst part about the way the city operates is that it never pays judgments rendered against it in lawsuits due to the state constitution's prohibition of seizing government owned property. So the city has no incentive to honor the provisions of the contracts it enters. It's such a mess.

This was in the bankruptcy court and it was a contract issue, so I’m guessing they paid this immediately.
