'I was a sex slave.' Stripper says Florida politician preyed on her 'vulnerability.'

Wild story.
So this 71y/o County Commissioner meets a stripper at her club. She says she's in financial trouble. He offers her AND her husband free rent at his house plus $300/wk toward drug rehab if she agrees to have sex with him while she's living there.
This woman and her husband are free to come and go as they like. Eventually she starts seeing johns for cash on the side while the Commissioner is away. That generates neighbor complaints. So when authorities show up at the house, the woman answers the door and claims to be a "sex slave".
The Commissioner is then arrested, perp walked, and charged on multiple counts. Yet neither the woman or her pimp husband are charged with anything. Then when the Commissioner tries to return to his house, he is told by authorities the house is being given to its "current residents" based, presumably, on Florida's bizarre squatter rights laws. He can no longer live there.
Crazy stuff for an old man just looking for a hook up.

A woman who answered the door Friday at the home of Hernando County Commissioner Nick Nicholson said she served for months as a “sex slave” to the elected official.
Valerie Surette, who called herself a 30-year-old stripper with an on-and-off drug problem, was one of two women named in charging documents when Nicholson was arrested Thursday on prostitution-related charges.
Nicholson, 71, preyed on her “vulnerability” and that of other women like her, Surette said. She had sex with Nicholson in exchange for a place to live and cash for groceries, drugs and drug rehabilitation, she said.

If true:
Commissioner is guilty of soliciting a prostitute and possibly operating a brothel.
Stripper is guilty of prostitution and operating a brothel.
