Do you prefer work over sorry arse staying at home waiting on a bread line or a check in the mailbox from your rent controlled section 8 housing?

No,. in socialism the wealth and power are distributed to everyone.

Then how come there is only one fat guy in N. Korea and he happens to be their communist ruler?

Its a benefit to people who refuse to work for a living and want the govt to force those who do work for a living to support them. Why would they care if you pay a 60% tax rate?

Who do you think benefits by absurd regulations? Corporations, or individuals/ small businesses?

Who do you think lobbies for regulations?

Most corporations welcome these because it raises the entry point for new businesses to beyond their grasp.

Capitalism has its flaws. But it’s the best option there is. There are no solutions, only trade-offs.

The problem with socialism is there is not much wealth to spread around under that system. It removes all incentive to create wealth. This inevitably leads to everyone being poor except for the ruling class.

A QUALIFIED form of partial (pseudo) Socialism could much benefit National prosperity, unity and Christian moral conscience. Unqualified subsidization creates an entitlement mindset in those who receive it, which leads to unrealistic expectations from those who work and produce the largesse upon which prosperity rests. It further creates an injustice (think “social Justice”) mentality which is exploited by Marxist ideology and legitimizes many ‘crimes’. Therein ‘end the police’ and open the jails. It’s it the criminal’s fault but the (social injustice) government.

DEI is BS. “Behold, there is a way that seemeth right unto man, but the end thereof is destruction “. Down goes Europe for their delusion. It remains to be seen how it shakes down here with the 2nd Amendment in play.

It's funny how people believe this and want it until it hits them in the face.

A group of college kids gave a very similar answer.
Then they were asked "Would you give up points from your GPA to allow other students to keep up, and and be equal to you?"

Not a single one of them answered yes. Most answered that they worked hard for that, and wouldn't give it up. Others just flat out said variations of "Hell No."

But the main reason people support is it because corruption aka corporatism is often passed off as capitalism. And that's what we have going on now, people recognize the unfairness, they are told it's capitalism when it's not, and that leads to people having negative opinions of capitalism.

Ok, so if I read you right... What you're saying is that some people think corporations have too much power and control.
One of my former bosses who's father moved his family here from India described that as being what India was like. That corporations controlled a vast majority of things they shouldn't. In a lot of ways they shouldn't.

It leads up to the question. Why did his father choose a capitalist country over a socialist country? His answer was because in India, the companies own you. Under socialism, the government owns you.

Theyre sold as free shite and equality to the “working class.

In reality it becomes forced labor for the working class and if you refuse you get shipped to the gulag.

Socialism/communism doesn’t work as there’s no incentive to produce - so production is forced at gunpoint.

Their parades are pretty sweet.

Everyone is thin because there is no food.

No stress at the voting booth because there is only one candidate.

The only places that have functioning socialism have embraced capitalism. Like Vietnam.

Do they teach the story of Jamestown and Plymouth in schools anymore?

I had to teach my teens about each.

In the form of capitalism we have now, is this any different

The US has class mobility.

There will always be a 1%.
There will always be a 20%.

The people who make up the 1% and 20% are not stagnant.
The beauty of capitalism is that there is class mobility.

You require lazy takes to ignore this.
