Vance was picked to secure Ohio. Plus with his families relationship with opioid epidemic. I believe he will actually try doing something about it. Vance grew up working class. Who better than someone to understand the struggles of the working class than someone who's lived it.

Low bar to be fair. Though I certainly hope he's much much better.

I don’t know how you wouldn’t be pumped up by that speech.

She was pretty good.

It was a smart pick.

I've heard him speak in the Senate and he did well.
I really think all the infantile chanting that the delegates are doing is breaking the rhythm of the speeches.

I’m actually proud they had her and the other women come out and throw their support for the movement. Just awesome women who aren’t afraid to stand up to the nonsense. They have hated and ridiculed Sarah for years. She’s not even having the last laugh, just plain beat them.

Still think Trump should’ve picked Tim Scott but oh well.
you think a gay black guy with a white beard would be a better VP?

Picking Scott wouldn’t have changed this. They would have just implied he was an Uncle Tom, just as they do already with him, Ben Carson and any black conservative.
They definitely would have, but there’s a difference between Uncle Tom and a “white supremacist”, and he would’ve had a fighting chance against a diversity candidate. Who is what they will have, no question. They won’t even have to campaign.
Plus we need someone to get through to black America. They aren’t ever going to listen to white people. Some of them might listen to a brotha, even if most of them see a successful black guy as an Uncle Tom and a threat to their oppression narrative.

It’s an excellent pick. JD is young, a combat veteran, a Yale Law student, and reinforces Trump’s attempts to turn the GOP into a workers party. His home state is right in the middle of the Rust Belt, which is the key to Trump winning.

Insurance Policy. Let me show you da mafia way.
Make #2 so bad they don't want to knock off #1
Vance is more conservative than Trump, AND not a part of the Deep State Club. Romney's RINOS and the CIA/FBI would rather Trump be President than Vance, so they can't off Trump.

Guy just doesn’t excite me. Still think Trump should’ve picked Tim Scott but oh well. Trump is the ticket anyway.
Edit: Let me put it a different way, if you’re not gonna be exciting at least pick a boring guy that could add a few votes. I think Scott would’ve done that. Also Sarah Huckabee would’ve been the perfect candidate IMO
Did you get the response you wanted?

Got to admit I thought he was 45-46 and he is only 2 months older than I am which kinda weirded me out.

I really don't think Trump wanted to pick Vance. Head of Heritage Foundation has been very big on Vance for some reason. Not sure why. But, I see this VP pick as being pushed on Trump.

I love the pick. Checks all the boxes for me. MAGA. Isolationist. America First. Deport illegals. Vet.

Considering how he went from calling Trump America's version of Hitler, yeah, I'm going to be suspicious of him.
JD Vance, getting the job of VP is indicative of the deep state getting what it wants. This kind of shite is why no one trusts the system.

Except the deep state hates his guts. Pretty much every establishment actor in government detests him and has been extremely critical of him in public.
