Tim Scott would have been a horrible pick, would not have added anything.

Several of his positions excite me. Such as his position on China.

And that's all that matters with politicians.

"Exactly what the actual frick are you going to do?" is the only question that should ever be asked of them.

JD Vance does a great job articulating what the America First position is all about.

JD Vance, getting the job of VP is indicative of the deep state getting what it wants. This kind of shite is why no one trusts the system.

Okay, this is just dumb. He’s the opposite of deep state.

They definitely would have, but there’s a difference between Uncle Tom and a “white supremacist”, and he would’ve had a fighting chance against a diversity candidate. Who is what they will have, no question. They won’t even have to campaign. Plus we need someone to get through to black America.

They aren’t ever going to listen to white people. Some of them might listen to a brotha, even if most of them see a successful black guy as an Uncle Tom and a threat to their oppression narrative.

I bet that the Trump campaign also considered that Biden might drop out and be replaced by Kamala Harris. That is looking more and more likely.

Who do you think would get the votes from those that would vote based on skin color?

Also, conservatives say that affirmative action, DEI and hiring based on sex or race are wrong. Yet some on here are advocating for it. Geez…

He's clearly not an establishment pick and can go toe to toe in a debate. That's all you need with Trump as the POTUS.

Much better pick then Pence and it's not even close.

correct. Mrs. Lindsay and establishment strings.

Nothing against Scott, but you don't want to "owe" them.

I don’t think it’s something to be advocated for, but I also like when Republicans win elections.

I agree, but I think they know Kamala is a “tweener”, she doesn’t have the fresh / “we intended to have this person run” feeling. She’s already been in the WH for 4 years, she won’t have the same enthusiasm from the glass ceiling crowd in addition to being unlikable.

Tim was my first choice. And a smart one. Trump put too much stock in getting a mid westerner.

The Rust Belt is what matters. Trump lost it last time because he leaked white voters, and that's what Vance is there to fix. Fix that and the election is won.

I don't get the warm and fuzzy from JD Vance. It seems like he is a guy that will shift any position he has to advance in his political career. I remember when I first read Hillbilly Elegy years and years ago when it was so massively popular thinking that he seems like somewhat of a fraud. Can't prove any of that other than him shifting positions but it's just a gut feel.

That said, voting Trump.

My wife thought he was boring.

The crowd interrupted him way too much. Enough with the stupid chants.
