Business owners better start boarding up and fire departments better get ready because looting and fires and riots will be widepread

The only people leaning towards acquittal on this trial are complete and total POS scumbags or black racists. I think more highly of Indians than to believe they would support acquittal

No disrespect intended, but that is incorrect. Depending on the jurisdiction, a single not guilty vote is generally enough to acquit.
Given the circus swirling around this case, he will not, imho, be retried and convicted. Glad to be wrong from what I know about the case (which is strictly press reports at this point).

If it was my son murdered I would hope they let him go...if you catch my drift.

You could be right, but I would not bet on it. If clear, indisputable video evidence of the crime exists, then Anthony’s lawyer would have arranged a plea deal to second degree murder. Said video while unreleased to the public, would have to have been provided to defense counsel prior to trial. Anyway, 2nd degree is probably where this winds up. Hung jury and mistrial on 1st degree because one juror refuses to convict a person who kills somebody because he’s dissed. Prosecution pushes to retry and somewhere along the line there’s a plea deal. Hope I’m wrong and that twelve good men and true can convict and send a message that you cannot use a deadly weapon and murder somebody unless you’re reasonably in fear of imminent death or great bodily harm.
Thank you. This is the entire basis for my question in the OP.
The defense must feel awful confident in their chances for acquittal, or they would have already agreed to a deal.

Would not be shocked in the least. Those jurors know they will be doxed (at best) and don't need the violent retard supporters of this thug at their doorstep.

The emerging defense and press narrative is that the victim was a hot head jock with racial issues, and the killer was only defending himself from those hateful, triggering words.
Keep in mind that jury is already bring photographed, tampered with and intimidated by this dude's thug crew, and has to face their dangerous asses in every day in court.

Why does the OP think the confessed murderer gets a not guilty verdict.
I didn't say that I think he gets a not guilty verdict.
I said I don't think that a conviction is as much of a sure thing as many people believe.
Other people have posted in this thread valid reasons as to why an acquittal (or a hung jury) might happen.
Did you see the makeup of the jury? It is not all white men.

No one, white or black, has ANY sympathy for murderer.
There are people of all races expressing sympathy for Anthony on various social media sites - Facebook, Reddit, X, etc.

Not a single black on the jury.
My concern would be how many businesses will they loot and burn when he's convicted.

Karmelo should take a plea.
He was offered the opportunity but declined. Hence, why there is a trial happening now.

He will not be acquitted. There is a chance of a hung jury, mistrial, and retrial.

He’s a low rent slip and fall attorney in New Orleans.

Nope. An acquittal is a finding of not guilty. A hung Jury because one member votes not guilty results in a mistrial and dismissal with the prosecution having the option to retry the case.

Yikes. Like we need one more of those.

The only problem would be, as this case can literally show us, is if you’re white you would go to prison for life. You’re other kids would grow up without a father.
If he is not convicted of murder and at least sentenced to life in prison, then it is yet another example that blacks can literally murder people in broad daylight and get away with it.
We have had a broken system since the BLM movement.
All by design.
