wonder how much of this kneeling shite would continue if everyone just walked the F out and turned the TVs off?

When the kneeling started there was a lot of this talk but the dome was still sold out on Sundays.

I see many responses that say they don’t care what the players do during the anthem. It would be interesting know what line in the sand so to speak must be crossed for this group of fans to say I will no longer support this team.

But if they love the confederate flag they should be kneeling as well! Right!?

It's an interesting question. I don't really have an answer. For many, kneeling for the anthem is a step too far, but various crimes, even violent ones, are ok if the player is good enough.

same could be said about the original quote that folks lost their mind about from Brees.

I watch sports for entertainment. If I don't agree with them politically or personally it's not going to make much difference.

It's similar to other forms of entertainment. I disagree with plenty of musical artists yet enjoy their music.

I disagree with plenty of Hollywood, yet still watch movies and TV shows.

shite, Michael Jackson was a sick and disgusting human being yet I love his music and still listen to it.

It is indeed possible to separate your political and personal views from the entertainment you enjoy. I don't make my entertainment decisions based on that. If I did I'd probably find myself staring at a blank wall the majority of the time.

If Drew Brees retires or is forced out before the season starts I'm done with the Saints (already done with the NFL, only watch Saints games). If Drew does decide to play but then he kneels with the other players I will turn off the TV then and be done with the Saints. Once Drew retires or kneels I'm done with the Saints, whichever one comes first.

Taking a stand on this would be just not showing up or turning on the tv. When you run to a message board or Facebook to grandstand, you come off as an attention whore just looking for encouragement.

I thought the reaction to Brees was knee jerk and people getting caught up in the tone of the moment. His statement was pretty tame.

If they stopped playing the anthem, the protestors will be furious and will demand that they start playing it again so they can kneel.

I'll watch it and say "can we just start the damn game" just like every other time I catch pre-game stuff for any other sport.

I have no favorite NFL team so as long as Lord Saban doesn’t get woke, I’m cool

I stopped watching sports when the players started complaining and demanding more money because the millions they’re overpaid isn’t enough.

I would prefer Louisiana pass a law preventing playing of the nat'l anthem at sporting events. I'd rather not hear than see it dishonored by fascists.
