I didn't like it. It wasn't written for me. I started the thread because people took the word of Van Jones that the speech was hateful. I didn't see how anyone who actually watched the speech could see it as hateful. I think Ty Simpson is an excellent quarterback. It doesn't mean I am an Alabama fan.
The guy is a moslem. Hatred is the very foundation of his religion. The world would be a better place if every one of them were to disappear.

Are democratic socialist like Mamdani calling for the abolition of free markets?
Only in housing, healthcare and transportation right now.
And?
Doesn't he want grocery stores as well?

Yes. Add it to the list.

Crazy when you think about the Muslim and Jew populations in NYC. I guess the Brooklyn bridge will be the new Gaza Strip, just a stone’s throw from lady liberty. Get the popcorn ready.

It started with AOC and look where they are now? Maybe even Liz Warren has joined the ranks.

Close enough. Everyone would basically be gig workers or Govt employees in a Dem Socialist environ.
I'm no fan of large corporations, but our own laws and regulations are why. Not that they are inherently bad.

That air they are breathing is the stench of homeless.

People are tired of living under the boot of billionaires
Now a little out of your programming here, but take a look at which party has more billionaires funding them and are allies of. Little hint…. They are claiming victory for the “working people” today.
“H1B visa immigrants and AI is taking our jerbs!!! Vote democrat!!! For the working class!!!!!” Meanwhile the tech billionaires are all liberals.
Damn I cannot believe the absolute uneducated and thought slaves that are in this country today.

I did listen to it and I heard an extreme enemy to my country and my family.
If this shite spreads closer to us then it is time for violence.

He wants a test run of city run grocery stores in the 5 boroughs. This has been tried before in a few places in the US and failed but have been successful in other countries. It along with his other ideas are problematic for NY for obvious reasons. I was responding to Roger's point that socialism is a fantasy and can never work. Pure socialism and pure capitalism would be a nightmare. Mamdani's plans, if tried may fail but its not an experiment in a social utopia.

What specifically did he say that makes you feel that way (that would justify violence against your own citizens)?

His attack on "our way of life."
Its utopian, anti American horse shite.

So social democrats/democratic socialist like him AOC, Bernie etc.. and their supporters should be violently attacked? I mean I get the dislike but you dont really agree with that kind of thinking ...do ya Rog?

If they seize wealth and take over private businesses, like they claim
Absolutely.

That dude might legitimately be the 2028 DNC presidential front runner

He wouldn’t stop talking. I’m amazed at the things that cause people to cheer during a speech. Who is going to pay for all the free stuff that he’s talking about?

The hostility in his speech, the Quran, understanding history, understanding Muslims’ true intentions, seeing what’s happening in Michigan, Minnesota, and Texas simultaneously, etc
And they are not “our own citizens.” They are foreign communist pieces of shite and if given the chance we all know what Muslims do to Christians if they are left unattended and unchecked.

Have to have an IQ below room temperature to listen to that retard. Guess you are well within that cohort.
