Great job Canada. Can you imagine waiting 13 months to get an MRI for a possible brain tumor? Insanity.

The elite ruling class doesn’t have to wait at all.

Financially they’re incentivized to let the high expense patients die. For every brain cancer patient who never gets treatment their system is solvent financially for 10 average Canadians.

I’m not convinced the delays to test arent a feature of the system rather than a bug because they simply cannot afford to provide US levels of care to their entire population given their current levels of spend.

And keep in mind from an ethics standpoint these are the same people strongly advocating and even pushing patients to assisted suicide.

13 months for an MRI, then they tell you, “The tumor is too large to operate on now. You should have seen about this sooner. Sorry, but you’ve only got a couple months to live.”

The secret to “government healthcare “ is that they control costs by limiting service. Inherent in that planning is the knowledge that this will kill X number of people, and its cheaper to bury them than treat them. Thats the “compassion” of single payer.

Wait until they have to defend their own country.

Also these countries won’t allow you to just move there because you are sick and need healthcare. Shows they really care.

Canada has 10.35 MRI's per million people. America has 37.98 per million people.

They've gotten relatively cheap here.

If my doctor wanted to get me an MRI for a brain tumor, it would cost me, even with the insurance. But I'd have that MRI within 7 days. And I'd be happy to pay.

Twice the cost and half the quality. But HC is a right, correct? Doctors and nurses are forced labor for the government. They respond by working 6 hrs/day and 4 days/week like everyone else in government.

I've seen idiots celebrating Canada's healthcare system like it's superior to how medicine is in the US. I can't imagine living with such a serious condition only to find out it's too late to do shite about it because someone is in Canada.

This is how much their “free” shitty healcare cost.
quote:

Canadians contribute to healthcare costs indirectly through taxes, with estimates suggesting the average family pays around $14,000-$17,000 annually, while single individuals contribute around $5,000-$6,000.

Here's a more detailed breakdown: Public Funding: Canada's healthcare system, known as Medicare, is publicly funded, meaning citizens don't pay directly for most medical services.

Tax Contribution: Healthcare is funded through taxes, with Canadians contributing a significant portion of their income to the social safety net, which includes healthcare.

Average Costs: Fraser Institute Study (2024): A family of four with an average household income of $176,266 will contribute $17,713 toward public health care.

Couples without children: About $16,528.

Single individuals: Around $5,629.

Single parents with one child: Around $5,345.

Income-Based Contributions: Higher income earners contribute more through taxes, which helps cover the costs for lower-income families.

Other costs While healthcare services are largely covered, some costs like prescription drugs and certain procedures may require additional out-of-pocket expenses

Canada has gone bonkers with MAiD... there are some terrible, awful, sad stories out there about it.
