re: How did a rural flyover state like Minnesota become the hotbed of Insurgent Liberalism?

Here’s my theory.
Much of Minnesota is great outside of the Twin Cities. Heck, the fishing opener each spring is a high holiday. But the cities can run the show based on population.
So why doesn’t the rural part of the state make waves about it? Because “Minnesota Nice” doesn’t like to rock the boat to the point that tolerance has morphed to acceptance and promotion.
That’s the main difference in Minnesota Nice and Southern Hospitality. Down here people will be polite, but we view telling you you’re wrong about things like this as actually helping you.

I mean, the lack of population is why. Land doesn't vote.

The rural population (45%) isn’t so much smaller that they couldn’t fight back and counter some of the crazy. They just don’t.

Minn, pop 5.8 Million, has the same dynamic as Georgia, pop 11.4M, but on a much smaller scale. 1 massive urban area, relative to the rest of the state.
Difference is Atl's burbs aren't as insane as Minnesota's. Lots of states have this propblem
Ill, Chicago- Declining blue hell hole.
Ga, ATL, Light red but in trouble.
Co, Denver, On the way to becoming a blue hell hole,
NY, NYC, Despite lots of old money also becoming a hell hole.
Pull out the single big city cancer and they are all red.
Texas, NC, OH are large states with large urban pop's but still red. Not all the eggs in one basket.

I guess the rat-like tendencies of leftists track with those of actual rats and that drives both's tendency to like to live on top of each other.

I can’t even fathom living in those conditions.

Having lived in Minnesota for 16 years (and survived the experience), I can tell you the Lutheran Church was instrumental in bringing over so many minorities, mostly Somalis.
My theory on the left-leaning is that the winter is so long and brutal, their brains freeze and turn to mush. Then they become Democrats.

I lived north of St Cloud. You would go a few weeks in winter without getting above 0. It was brutal and I worked outside. I would shiver in the house with the heat on and the only time I felt "warm" was in a hot shower.

Obama purposely flooded that region with tons of Somalis and other dirtbags. Now his seeds are blossoming just as planned.
Except they started arriving in 1992 as refugees
To blame this on Obama is about the pinnacle of human stupidity
Does it really matter whose to blame?????
The bigger problem is the issue...

How would they fight back besides voting? They are currently voting and losing, as they have been for a half century.

"Pinnacle of human stupidity"? Work the numbers / dates anyway you want, but Obama openly & repeatedly bragged about relocating 20,000 Somalis into Minn.

Yep. Minnesota has their version of NOVA, too. Edited to add that I never, ever suspected that one day, Hubert H. Humphrey would appear to be a conservative by the standards then compared to now.

Add Canada as a neighbor, add Somalians by the tens of thousands...add Agnostic lefty educators, add Karen's by the hundreds of thousands...
On and on...
I love visiting Minnesota in Summer..it's awesome , so beautiful but the retards are everywhere...
Even the good ones, have a bit of a weird vibe...like the A@M or Mormon cults.

I've been to Minnesota twice...the first time and the last time. To put it simply, them people ain't like us.

The Midwest is so much different since the turn of the century. Top to bottom it's hard to find someone that doesn't suck as a human in the cities. Not much better in the burbs either.
