Does no one remember that Minnesota was the ONLY state that didn't go for Reagan in 1984? The fact that the state is full of lefties isn't news. (Apparently there's some sort of toxin in all those lakes up there that stunts cerebral development.

I’m reading “Broken Heart of America” by the snotty little bitch Walter Johnson (not to be confused with his amazing and esteemed father, Walter L. Johnson from whom I learned Economics). As I struggle through reading through his Marxist lens, it becomes apparent that the European immigrants brought plenty of their collectivist ideals to our country. Marxists were agitating for labor in the mid to late 1800s in St. Louis. In some areas, it held on. Minnesota is one of those areas. Iwegia had these tendencies until probably the 80s or 90s. Wisconsin still does. As does Chicago.

Most farmers now have 0 in common with their "Farmers Party".

I thought about this for a while, thought about Scandinavian and Western Europe also.
Because the more likely your area looks like a neighborhood of equals, the better socialism works.
If all the people in your state are hard working, look like you, think like you.
Socialism is great.
It's just extended tribalism and sharing, people don't want to let their tribe down, and when someone starts milking the system, everyone will tell them to cut it out if they don't actually need help.
But you throw multi culturalism in there.
It breaks down, people of a different ethnicity and culture don't respect those paying into the system, and hate when they are "talked down to" by those paying in.
Now it becomes racial in the givers and the takers.
Add in immigrants who fully strip the system bare and take advantage of lax criminal laws.
The only society that can succeed in multi culturalism is capitalism,
