You do know that some that were changed had nothing to do with the confederacy or the South, yes?
No, as I recall, the names were selected as part of the effort for Southern recruits for WWI. The Civil War was still very much in living memory.

I don’t know how you do it but you somehow manage to have the worst takes humanly possible on any conceivable topic. Statistically speaking, it’s almost impossible to never get at least one right by sheer luck lol not you though, military bases returning to their actual names is disagreeable to you

Shocking that you are against it, I can’t think of two bigger intellectual giants than you and RFK

I was born at Fort Gordon in Augusta Ga and I'll never call it anything else. Eisenhower was the name of the hospital I was born in, not the Fort. I don't give a damn what fricked in the head left wingers like the OP call it, I'm indifferent to those morons
You have the right approach, but this change isn’t targeted at people like you. It’s for the next generation. If they get it changed back, eventually the names we all knew will be forgotten.

RFK is a slip and fall type in New Orleans.
Oof. No wonder why he comes across as a low IQ leach

changing back to Confederate names did harm serving members
Enlistments are up enough that they're actually turning people away. I doubt any real service members give a frick about this. Only the marxists.

I'll call Ft Bragg Ft Bragg, but Bragg was a loser. Got kicked off a mountain at Chattanooga. Somthing that is hard to do.
But I really don't see calling the base in Augusta after Eisenhower all that big of a deal. Ike did win a war and was President. Gordon wasn't all that impressive

Oh do tell us all about the 4-D chess where Iran has all the cards and we’re in a worse position now than 4 months ago (when the strait was open with zero tariffs paid to Iran by passing ships).

I still think we should auction off the naming rights to our bases like they are sports stadiums and use the proceeds to fund the trillion dollar (soon to be 1.5 trillion dollar) defense budget.

The deflection is strong with this one.

They already changed a bunch of the names back.
The back and forth is so stupid. Just leave the names alone. It’s not important.

I just find it annoying to rename anything. There’s never a good reason for doing so
