Good. frick that flag.

Right, until it doesn’t stop at the flag. You take the flag and it won’t stop. You’ll see. You start taking down one thing that’s offensive then everything starts coming down. Hopefully you won’t think it’s too good then. You had a player from Oklahoma State get coach to disavow a conservative news outlet. You really think it will stop at confederate stuff whenever they see everything right of Karl Marx as racist?

Do these idiots not realize people (used to) watch sports to escape all this crap?

Hey SEC, how about you also talk to Georgia, Alabama, Florida, and Arkansas to change their flags as well, you fricking pussies? I’m for changing the flag, but I’m not going to take it from these bullying assholes who have another 5 schools in their conference (including their headquarters) and don’t call them out.

Valid critique.

I find it funny that GA changed its flag back in 2001 and removed the rebel battle flag elements.

I find it funnier still that GA's current flat more closely resembles an 1st flag of the Confederacy, incorporating the Stars and Bars, than the one that was taken down.

Be careful what you wish for.

SEC championships and Mississippi are mutually exclusive anyway.

Of course they do, that's why they're so active in targeting sports now (along with co-opting ESPN).

In New Orleans, a poor black janitor and a wealthy white doctor or attorney have little in common. But they might both love the Saints, and if they run into one another after a game and someone's wearing team gear, you very likely get a nice friendly Who Dat exchange.
Until now... we have to see what happens.

Point being, those who want to divide and destroy, hate how unifying sports can be. That's why they are working so hard to drive a wedge in there.

We're way past one thing being taken down. I'm taking these in a case by case basis from here on out.

the response should be

"thank you for sharing your opinion"

"We like our country and our flags"

"If you don't like it, you're free to not like it but you're not free to remove it or try to change it"

"If you want to change America, try changing people rather than things"

I’ve been laughing at that for years. The general population doesn’t have a clue because they don’t teach history anymore.

Let’s see the SEC try this with Georgia and the football championship. I’d like to see what happens.

The Mississippi flag is the only one that still incorporates the flag used to protest integration in the 1950s and 60s. Why would the SEC talk to schools in other states?

If the point is who doesn't know history, the reason that the Mississippi flag is offensive isn't because it was a part of the confederacy.

It's because it was used in the 50s, 60s, and 70s to protest segregation.

If I was a citizen of Mississippi, I would support changing the flag. But who the frick elected Greg Sankey as State Flag Czar?

And who is holding a shotgun to the head of these athletes and making them attend the schools in Mississippi? Sankey is the one making threats.
