Anyone who understands the context of the 14th Amendment understands that “subject to the jurisdiction thereof” language was meant to prevent the anchor baby phenomenon.

SloFlo has been too busy breaking up trailer park marriages to bother with reading anything seminal like the Constitution

It may not mean they take no action
If they were going to take no action they would have denied the emergency application. I have been following SCOTUS closely for the last few years and these national injunctions have been irritating them, especially Thomas and Alito. Also Roberts is a stickler on standing. Go through all the plaintiffs in the three cases and most of them lack standing, it is basic law that a party cannot assert rights of third parties.
On the other hand there are 3 justices, Jackson, Kegan, and Sotomayor who I believe are fine with what is happening in the lower courts and would have denied the application.
Therefor it will come down to the three justices Trump appointed to decide the outcome of the case. And I believe that they will side with Thomas and Alito to severely cut back on these national injuctions.

Many of the so-called “leftist judges” are actually conservative Republicans(some appointed by Trump.
They’ve decided to apply the law honestly. You guys just don’t like the result. Trump is over-reaching and ignoring the law. If he followed proper
Procedure he may very well succeed in deporting the bad guys…

Ok, so do conservatives want the constitution interpreted purely by the text as written, or interpreted for today's day and age? Textualism or purposivism?
Let's pick one and not change it to suit our ideology as we please.

This is a significant problem …. Coordinated forum shopping should be outlawed.

I think they'll end up compromising on birthright citizenship. It will be ended by the Supreme Court, but, everyone who's obtained it up to the ruling date will get to keep it. From there on only anyone born with 1 US citizen parent will get to have it.
US citizen men finna be swimming in foreign cooch.

They take language and just bastardize it beyond all recognition.
There's not a person walking the planet now OR EVER, who honestly thinks the writers of the 14th meant that anyone who could drag their pregnant arse across the border would have an insta-citizen.
But, because the writers couldn't foresee just how shameless leftists of their future would be, they didn't add a "ok now, for you fricktards in the back" clause.

Congress can't override Constitutional rights in the Constitution.
That is the argument before the court, its not specifically clear as written.
Regarding federal judges, the supreme court is and should be very threatened by it. In effect we now have 100s of supreme courts throughout the country, there really is no need for a US Supreme Court.

THIS. I'm a conservative; therefore, I want the law followed as written...therefore, I'm a textualist. Roe v Wade was the perfect example of pretending what the law SHOULD be just because you disagree with it.
FWIW, I think Birthright Citizenship will be a close one. There are good arguments on both sides. "I don't like anchor babies (which I don't)," is not an argument.
