Tomorrow’s news - After ballot scanners are fixed 95% of votes cast for Democrats.

It's purely coincidental when this type of BS happens the ballots that are eventually tallied go +80% for DSA candidates.

We should have a sticky at top of political forum for all malfunctions, plumbing issues and other issues at covering stations do everyone can see what’s going on.

No. This cannot be tolerated anywhere. It's time to put a stop to the bullshite.

Agreed. We have airlines running well past 6 sigma quality, but we can't get a freaking vote counter right?

What was that war about again? Taxation without representation?

Lawler tends to outperform in his district and win despite there being 70k more Democrats than Republicans. The strength of his base is Rockland County, not Westchester, but problems in Westchester allow for the potential of shenanigans, thus potentially swinging this seat to the Democrats.

Yep, all those democrats that didn't vote before the machines went down will have voted once the machines come back.

Republican Michael Lawler's district includes part of Westchester County. The article in the OP says Lawler is imploring voters to fill out paper ballots and to not leave without voting.

Per this article:

Lawler tends to outperform in his district and win despite there being 70k more Democrats than Republicans

Maybe some of his voters took his advice?

First time ever in Louisiana, I saw an illegal Colombian try to vote who was not on any list and had no documentation and someone from Iran tried to do the exact same thing and then someone who is from 60 miles away showed up and tried to vote in Baton Rouge I just hope to God that the people running the table didn’t allow them to vote or someone else.

Actually it usually is. Easiest way to change ballots from red to blue is to destroy repub ballots amd "correct" them

I also noticed in Louisiana where I voted that they were only using half the machines so at each precinct you could only vote on one machine so there were lines longer than normal because there’s 10 constitutional amendments

And you have absolutely no proof that the machine counted it right. Those machines just print out a little grocery receipt at the end of the night with numbers on it. No way to audit that.

If we had hand marked, serialized, secure paper ballots that were hand counted with watchers and cameras, we would know our votes are accurately counted.

No machines with proprietary software that can be manipulated or "glitch".

Hopefully the "poll watchers" are on it!!

We should have hundreds of thousands of poll watchers. Everyone should consider volunteering to do this. It's so easy and so important.

Yes, you should expect occasional election machine malfunctions to occur on Election Day.

When else would it happen?

It’s only happening in Westchester County—a Republican stronghold—and only on election day. We can draw a reasonable inference as to why.
