It's on. The east coast is experiencing issues with the voting machines and, like magic, should we expect this phenomenon to spread westward?

You can bet your last dollar these problems will certainly occur in consequential areas. Hopefully the "poll watchers" are on it!!

It's Election Day in America, and already we have a familiar problem: Voting machines aren't working.

Meh it’s NY. As long as the shenanigans stay away from controversial areas.

Tomorrow’s news - After ballot scanners are fixed 95% of votes cast for Democrats.

It’s the same tired script again and again. It makes you wonder who is behind it.

Every damn time. This morning I had to hold my nose and vote for Julia Letlow but the dang machine would not put the x by her name. I had to press the button 4 times before it would register I was voting for her. Like is this the best we can do in the greatest country ever?? This voting machine is it?

Nope.

Actually I read somewhere once that they can cheat a bit in red areas to reduce the margins in statewide races.

According to the article, it's Westchester County, which is just north of NYC. Republican Michael Lawler's district includes part of Westchester County. The article in the OP says Lawler is imploring voters to fill out paper ballots and to not leave without voting.

Per this article:

CBS

Lawler tends to outperform in his district and win despite there being 70k more Democrats than Republicans. The strength of his base is Rockland County, not Westchester, but problems in Westchester allow for the potential of shenanigans, thus potentially swinging this seat to the Democrats.

So, it is a potential problem.

Meh. We know where NY is going anyway

I’d be more concerned if this was happening in red or purple areas
