I feel ya bro. My biggest turnoff was the wokeism movement. Since that time I have scaled back my TAF donations to a fraction of what I have donated for the last 25 years. College football has changed and although I am ecstatic that the playoffs were a much better move from the BCS, the magic is lost.
I was on cloud nine about 2019 but I had more fun from the other championship years TBH. Hang in there, I'm not saying it'll get better but instead of being obsessed your interest will be tempered to simply enthusiastic even once you start winning again.

I still watch, but much less.

I still watch college sports, but I don't have any interest in any pro sports.

Can't relate. I'm all in.

Have watched two games all season, 1 being Auburn. Doubt I'll ever care for it again.

Im becoming this way and because of the portal, the NIL, and all the 1 sided calls against the defenses that allows the offense to move toward a basketball on grass play style. The NIL and Portals make the connection from the university and players seem so distant now. Becoming less a tradition based family sport to a wild west nfl type sport. I am losing a lot of interest.

NIL and transfer portal have put a damper on it for me.

Definitely doesn't have as much luster now.
The COVID stuff and BLM definitely played a role. I used to try to watch every SEC team every week. Now I sometimes even miss the Bama games. Just ain't the same anymore.

I hear ya, I used to be diehard as anyone on football, if there was a game on I was watching it as it was my 3 hr escape from all the other bs you see on tv and everywhere around you.
Now the bs(politics) has invaded sports and I have all but lost any interest in the NFL and with NIL/Portal shite happening in CFB I can see myself eventually giving up on CFB as well.
Sure I'll watch the UF games, but now its more background noise than anything as I'm usually messing around on a project around the house as it plays on the tv.
I already told myself Im not keeping up with recruiting anymore, All these kids have become mercenaries now and dont gaf about the team they choose. All about the NIL deal.

Acually I'm the exact opposite..
I've grown tired of waiting on the plan, the precipice, etc..I have pulled up on this PT board, Conservative TV, Radio, Pods,etc..and taken a political siesta back into breads & circus, attending concerts, attending sports events, watching a wall of tvs/ballgames, listening to VSIN and sports radio all day at work. After having a few years back, at the height of wokedom, I did take brief pause of sports for a year plus.
Now, I just say my morning and nightly prayers, then stay in my small lane. And don't let the secular @$$holes running this world and country preoccupy any more of my day.
If the Combatant Generals, and the so-called adults in the room(our Politicans) both Rs & Ds, want what we see now in America and the World. If this is the way it's gonna be with obscene corruption, rigged elections, no governmental accountability, and bow to foreign agendas. Then let it all f@cking burn..let the Lord's wrath flow.
P.S. Both your and my opposing takes "to sports watch or not" on our shared current societal malaise, share the same common desired intent by a well designed demoralization campaign upon society, by Satan and his current minions. The same ones that Archbishop Carlo Maria Vigano often addresses so accurately in his many letters.
Ephesians 6:12 (NKJV) ...For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.

I was very happy that the SEC decided to play in 2020 when other conferences tapped out. This has nothing to do with Alabama’s season that year, was just happy to have some college football.
That said, the game hasn’t been the same since the clock rules were changed in 2008, and the implementation of the targeting rule. Soft as frick.

I haven't watched a single game since Joe Bureaux hoisted that golden football. Yes, I lost interest.

Yup. The LSU brass elected to light up that beautiful stadium in Saint Floyd of Fentanyl's high school colors. That was the rubicon for me, and they went past it. Do they miss me? Clearly not. These woke institutions literally support cultural Marxism and discrimination towards wypipo, but wypipo keep supporting them, so why would they stop?

I no longer want to attend or watch games. I used to follow recruiting and visit the Rant many times a day. I barely look at it anymore.
I quit paying TAF dues. I cancelled cable so I couldn't turn on ESPN even if I desired to. I no longer venture over to tRant or tRB at all.
I didn't even know LSU beat Alabama last night until after I woke up this morning and Mrs. Axe informed me after she saw it online somewhere. A part of me still cares because I spent over 30 years cheering my arse off for LSU, but I've discovered that my family and personal life is better since every Saturday and Sunday during fall and winter are no longer revolving around football game times. Hell, I started a small business in the time since football walked away from me.

I used to build my fall around Auburn football.
Now I’ll watch a game if I’m home.
If we were 10-0, I’d be checking game times, reading articles, adjusting tee times.
Gus started it, Harsin finished it.
Somebody will “build back better”, or “Make Auburn Great Again.”
