I still watch but all the bs has definitely caused me to lose some interest. The wokeness of LSU has been a major part of that, as well as the lack of loyalty players now display. Also, to many justice warriors and reverse racists on these boards now. I know multiple graduates that went to LSU only to be brainwashed politically.

Then if you believe this, the reason has gone way over your head. Maybe there is some liberalism in you, I don't know. But almost everyone I'm friends with have lost interest due to the Wokeness at LSU. As I said above, I still watch, but with much less passion than in the past. I haven't watched a Saints game in 3 years now, don't plan to again. All this BLM shite is just that, shite. People who bought into that scam were either stupid or already far gone woke.

Pro and college watching has seriously dropped off for me. It helped when our team went sjw and decided they couldn't play because the state flag was offensive. Meanwhile, their high school buddies have zero issue playing as "rebels"

Look if you want to run away and hide from something you probably once loved just because some lefty assholes say things you don't like, it's a choice but proudly telling strangers about it is laughable.

Personally, football is fun as frick again and I'm not letting some dickheads scare me away from it.

The original post asked if anyone else felt like the OP. Posters respond, and since you have a different opinion, you attack other posters. Says much more about you. You do you, it makes the world go around. But, there are a LOT of formerly passionate fans/graduates that are adults in the room and can't stand the direction of the education system in this country. It's pretty clear where you stand, and that's fine, but you are so typical of the Left. Don't agree with someone, attack them if they have a different opinion/belief.

I enjoy tailgating and attending games with my family. I also like watching at home with the kids and getting their questions and seeing how they are learning the game. I am sick and tired of not being able to watch a game, whether it be a college football game, World Series game, or any other sporting event without being bombarded with commercials featuring same sex relationships...rocket mortgage is one and there are many others. So what you have is either you don’t watch and don’t let your kids watch and take away a big piece that drives their interest in sports (I’ve got male children), or they watch and this garbage is continually pushed and normalized as mainstream behavior.

I would hope. It's meant to. Attacking and depriving yourself of a sport you once loved because someone has a different opinion says a little something too, though. If that makes you an adult, I'll just keep being a child I guess.

Here. :(

As an Ole Miss fan, I can tell you from experience that sucking typically leads to disinterest.

I stopped watching the NFL, MLB, and college sports. I’d rather go watch and support my kid’s high school team.

NFL lost me due to the politics. MLB lost me even before BLM. The players today all seem like douchebags with horrible attitudes and none are likable to me. Then they started the politics. LSU lost me with the politics. The final straw was removing Troy Middleton’s name from the library.

Owners and colleges forget that people watch sports to forget about stuff like politics for awhile. These days there is no escape from it.

I’ve found that I now have a lot of free time to pursue more productive things, especially on the weekends.

Hell no. I skipped the 2020 season because it was lame watching conference-only games with no crowds.

Enjoyed it since then, especially with the SEC Shorts delivering every week. (That Tennessee fan haunted house one didn’t age well )

Go Dawgs!

Covid taught me there are things way more important than college and pro sports.

I’ll watch a college game with family. I ain’t investing time and money anymore though.

All the political BS and woke universities is too much. And let’s stop pretending. College football is now semi pro ball.

clearly you have no clue what you are talking about. It's not a boycott. It's a different view on what's important in life.

This, I 100% believe.

A difference of opinion? Are you a fricking tard? You damn well know it is WAY more than that. Wokeness is not just a difference of opinions, dumbass.

I grew up watching games with my father, as big an Auburn fan as I've ever met. I saw a lot of great games at Jordan Hare. I remember the way the ROTC drill fields that used to be across from the stadium were a sea of tailgaters when I was in school. You could park just about anywhere and walk to the stadium. Games were affordable and the SEC schedule was all in a day's drive.

I still watch for the relationship with my father and habit, that's it. You have to shell out a fortune just to get on a list to buy a season ticket. Tailgating has practically been pushed out of the city limits if you don't buy a third party package of some sort. Auburn has transformed from an everyman kind of town into a boutique-riddled knockoff of a typical Atlanta suburb. NIL is turning guys who are already treated like kings on campus into overnight millionaires. The transfer portal has turned every team into a potential powder-keg of selfish malcontents. It hasn't really been politics for me, it's just the game losing what made it special and becoming another cash grab in a soulless culture full of them.

It’s because Auburn sucks. I am a Tennessee fan and my interest is 1/10th of what it was 20 years ago even during a good year it’s hard to watch

Look man, if your interest is down because you've just moved on or your team happens to be shitty, I get it. I don't view CFB the same way I did as a student. Letting idiots drive your behaviors and preferences just isn't something I'd admit even if it were true. You think I'm reminiscing about the BLM commercial from the LSU game? You couldn't time this thread more poorly if you tried.

After I saw Saban and the team promoting a terrorist organization that was destroying cities and gang jumping innocent people to a pulp (BLM) plus that phag Greg Sankey forcing Mississippi to change their state flag, yes, I lost a ton of interest. And also knowing what modern colleges (even Alabama) represent. I'll admit, I tuned back in midway into the 2020 season but I'm nowhere near as invested as I was, nor will I spend spend a single penny on collegiate merchandise anymore. And I haven't been to a single football game since the 2019 Iron Bowl and haven't made plans to ever go back.

And I loved college football. When I was a student at UA, Saturdays in the fall was some of the best experiences of my life. CFB was the only sport I watched. But now, frick it. I'll watch a game if I'm free but if not, I'm not missing a goddamn thing.

Just wished more right wingers would boycott companies like Amazon, Netflix, and every left wing company that wants us dead.

I lost interest in 20 and 21.

But I've regained some this season.
