Grand Isle/Cutoff Man Wins Against Biden Supporters

A resort island town on the Louisiana coast has agreed to repeal an anti-obscenity ordinance and let a contractor fly a flag from his truck that carries an obscenity aimed at President Joe Biden.
They call Grand Isle a resort town, WTF.
quote:
Friday’s settlement agreement states that Brunet “was wrongfully cited for engaging in constitutionally protected speech of flying flags with political messages.” It says Brunet will receive $40,000 in damages and legal fees. And it says Grand Isle officials will repeal the ordinance by Oct. 20. In return, Brunet will drop the lawsuit.

What'd it say?

Surely this was a FJB flag…?

I'm pretty sure that's right, based on the filing. The AP didn't say.
quote:
Brunet was ticketed seven times for flying the vulgar flags from his truck, according to the lawsuit. He successfully defended himself against four tickets. Despite winning those cases, he was later ticketed three more times. The last three cases were dropped after the town adopted an ordinance stating that signs on vehicles “shall not contain language deemed offensive and vulgar nor obscene in nature and cannot contain language that describes a sex act.”

Do they qualify as down the bayou? I had a room mate that was from Raceland, but I don't know for sure where the line is.

FJB.
Let’s Go Brandon!
Pedo. Corrupt. Sold out his Country and Fellow Countrymen. Liar. Plagiarist.
Not one redeeming quality.
One of the worst Americans of all time.

Down the bayou is South of wherever you are on the bayou.
No one should fly a “ Frick Anyone “ flag. We should be a polite society.

I'll tell you what. When the president of the United States isn't compromised by half the world, I'll stop telling the president to frick off.

Friend,
It makes me sad every time I hear or read vulgarity in public. The ruling does not surprise me, as our nation has drifted far from civility and its Christian roots, embracing pornography, encouraging objectification of the body in every day life, acceptance of public swear words, and worse, casual indifference to the use of God’s holy name on public airwaves and in public discourse. We have sacrificed decorum, love, manners, and God’s law in the name of “freedom,” which is quoted as it is nothing more than masquerading anarchy. Alasdair MacIntyre‘s writings become more prescient each day.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

It’s unlikely that you hold any race besides white to this standard.

What a weird point! No one mentioned race. Nothing in this issue touched on race. You need help.
BTW, I feel exactly as he expressed in his post, except I didn’t understand the last sentence. And I hold every race equally to that standard.

The intercostal canal is the dividing line I suppose. I grew up in Larose by the way and all my family still lives there.

Correct, intracoastal is the unspoken line
