He needs to be primaried. And anyone doing things like this needs to be primaried.

What a moronic thing to even attempt.

I thing it should be banned from the internet.

That's a slippery slope..... not a direction America needs to take.

I’m 100% convinced the GOPe is doing everything they can to guarantee they don’t have full control of Congress for the last two years of the Trump administration.

As a party, they don't. Playing the obstructionist is much, much easier than being a leader.

I’m not sure there are.

Economic issues are important, but if the cultural rot doesn’t slow there won’t be anything to save.

This legislation didn’t seem viable so whatever, but the conservative mantra needs to stop being “don’t infringe on this civil liberty!!!” We’re not libertarians and our 2 decades of libertarian cosplay has been a disaster.

So...become big government Democrats?

So now the key is promoting government intervention in markets, increasing the regulatory state, and promoting government intervention in social issues?

What are the new guiding principles to rein in government expansion/power/intrusion into our lives?

Define the movement and its specific limitations. it just seems like an ad hoc power grab with no guiding principles.

The problem with those gun stats is it’s equating a 17 year old that can fight in war with a 7 year old.

I hate this sentiment.

They have done nothing else but this. Nothing else has been done. Nothing at all.

Plus, there are a shite load of other consequences with porn. Like trafficking women and children to make said porn.

I don’t think you should ban porn. But to act like there aren’t societal problems and other crimes related to the porn industry is just silly.

Those examples are already illegal.

Do you think 10-year-olds have a Constitutional right to access porn?

This is as stupid as asking if a 6 year old has a Constitutional right to an AR-15.

I'm still trying to figure out if a 6 year old/ 10 year old has a right to puberty blockers to cut off their weiner.

It’s prohibition all over again. I hope this is just an appeasement deal and we are not serious about this

I go back and forth because even smut is a form of speech and this reeks of big government. But that shite is really REALLY bad for your brain and is ruining the lives of young adults

As far as kids go? I unironically believe that a 12 year old drinking straight bourbon is less harmful than having consistent access to hardcore porn

For our society, porn has been arguably worse than fentanyl.

Is there a social cost to porn? Is there a social cost to young boys accessing porn? Who bears the cost?

Replace porn with alcohol or junk food and your answers will be the same.

You voted for someone who wanted to ban alcohol and start running your mouth about big government.

You sir are a clown.

You are the only one here knowingly voted for prohibition.

If you noticed in my comment you cut off, I said you shouldn’t ban porn. But to ignore problems with porn is silly.

And so is acting like nothing else has been done other than one congressman wanting to ban porn is also a fallacy.

All social media is bad. This Senator should just drop a bill to outlaw the internet entirely.

You're conflating 2 ideas.

1. Who I voted for
2. What policies I support

You're also giving a person who wasn't even on ballots in 50 states an exponentially higher chance of impact than what actually existed

I didn't, though.

I’d prefer to see the protected Epstein kid diddlers being perp walked for a more profound immediate impact.

Pornography is not speech.

It’s evil.
