The young uns are not getting married. So, that does nothing.

if young men are as hooked on porn as you say, and declining birth rates are such as issue, let's find a solution here. i dunno, invent a new genre and popularize...

pro-natalist porn?

There are better ways to get sexual pleasure than watching something that makes pedophiles, rapists and abusers rich.

You think pedos, rapists, and abusers are only getting rich through porn

They probably get rich from a lot of other stuff that we’re not trying to ban

I mean if you want to argue hunter-gatherer, non-literate humanity is somehow on even or higher standing than today, I'm willing to listen, but I think it will be difficult to argue.

"Higher" from a technology perspective, sure. But this is largely a discussion about morality, and it would be nonsense for an atheist to claim that we're "better" or "higher" or any other word you care to use that indicates there's some moral goal that we're closer to than we were 100 or 1,000 or 10,000 years ago.

I’m 100% convinced the GOPe is doing everything they can to guarantee they don’t have full control of Congress for the last two years of the Trump administration.

There’s no other explanation for their behavior.

You are absolutely correct. Every one should get primary challengers. Trump should actively work against them

That mmmmmcreampie guy still posts on the OT from time to time.

Pretty sure he made that comment about his daughter in a thread about porn. Maybe it was an abortion thread now that I think about it.

Is there a social cost to porn? Is there a social cost to young boys accessing porn? Who bears the cost? I know these are all tremendously unpopular questions on Internet forums. But I’ll ask them anyway.

I agree with you asking the tough questions. Absolutely ask them. The problem is not going to be solved by the government intervention. The government can’t fix anything. The reasons are the moral and actual breakdown of the family. The society and communities we get are a reflection of what’s happening in the home. The values being taught to kids by the parents.

“You know it when you see it.”

Now, shut up, slave.

[ftr, I’m very anti-porn, and anyone caught with kiddie porn or rape stuff should be publicly executed. But a ban of “all porn” is fraught with constitutional peril. Mainly due to the shite they’d have to do to enforce it.]
