Liberals can say anything aloud and get away with it.

Like The NBA, Golden State Warriors Co-Owner ‘Doesn’t Care’ About Uyghur Suffering

quote:

Billionaire Chamath Palihapitiya, a part-owner of the Golden State Warriors, joined his friends in the National Basketball Association this week by turning a blind eye to Communist China’s human rights violations against the Uyghurs.

“Nobody cares about what’s happening to the Uyghurs, okay?” Palihapitiya said in a recent episode of his All-In Podcast. “You bring it up because you really care and I think that’s nice that you care, the rest of us don’t care.”

OH man I was just starting to get into the All In podcast. This may derail it.

Although I admit he's my least favorite of the 4

Such an awful take.

Suppose I found out Fauci was funding research that had sand flies eating beagles faces off, but the "researchers" first removed the vocal chords of the dogs, so as not to hear them scream in pain?

Could I care about those dogs and also about our other problems as a nation?

I’d be way more concerned about the problems in this country as well. Fix the problems in this country. You have millions of homeless mentally ill drug addicts, crime going insane, inflation at record levels, terrible education for the youth, censoring conservative speech, the federal government trying to vilify half the country and take away rights.

Quit pissing away money in hellhole countries and take care of the tax paying citizens.

Now say the same for a drugged up felon who died in his own accord.

Yeah I mean it's historically been a popular sentiment on here, especially anytime a new spending bill gets posted and foreign aid gets scrutinized. I mean isn't Trump's big message "American First"?

Lots of people on the right enjoy the Uyghur suffering for gotcha opportunities and ways to snipe at people they disagree with (see the other thread immediately focus on Lebron, for example). They don't actually give a shite and certainly aren't doing anything to help.

Imagine being so oblivious that you cannot correlate this issue with the "dystopian hellscape gay disco nightmare" especially when the issue is presented on a "political talk" forum. You should go back to the Movie/Tech board.

Imagine caring about this nonsense when NBA coaches, players, and owners are comparing to plantation slaves the current plight of modern black athletes while making billions off of merchandise made by actual slaves and oppressed minorities.

When it comes to basic human rights, such as something as simple as the right to live, not be enslaved or tortured, that should be the most important thing anytime. Then we can move onto the ones that don't have food or shelter(likely because of decisions that they have made in their lives).

This has more to do with black athletes saying free agency is slavery when actual slavery is happening around the world.

or that an obese mom of 5 with 5 baby daddies is oppressed, she isnt.

To be fair I also don't care about what China is doing about Uyghurs. As much as we want to hate it, China is a sovereign nation and they get to dicate the rules of their society. China hates a lot of stuff about the US but we wouldn't change our policies to satisfy Chinese citizens.

It's not our place to dictate how other countries run themselves unless they're attacking America as a result.
