They used Spock in 1978 to tell us an ice would be here by now

Interesting how everying brings rising sea levels

At least an ice age is actually a threat. Global warming has only brought prosperity to earth's inhabitants.

They can't make up their minds

Yes because if the polar ice caps melt seal levels will rise, but if more of the planets water turns to ice sea levels will also rise.
Trust the science. This is more settled than vaxports.

I bought a burn barrel for the back yard, got rid of my catalytic converters, and re-purposed my ac for r-12 because we obviously over-reacted with global warming and are now looking at the coming ice age.

My climate prediction is that earth will have a huge spike in temperature when the sun goes supernova followed by a deep space cold close to absolute zero.

quote:1) We are currently in an Ice Age, and have been for the past 5M yrs.
inviting a new ice age and rising sea levels
2) The terminology is return to glaciation or a stadial period within our Ice Age.
3) Return to glaciation would/will result in sea level decline, not rise.

During the last ice age 22,000 years ago the sea level was almost 400 feet lower than now.

You’re right. Glaciation is the proper terminology.

I almost posted about this earlier.
The underlying research gets a bit heady, but the nutshell is "manmade global warming is causing currents to slow, which will cause regional cooling but it's still warming (based on temperature records going back to the tail end of the pre-industrial age, which was also the end of the Little Ice Age, but ignore that) and that's bad."
Oh, and "we have absolutely no clue if this has ever happened before, we're not even really sure it's happening now, but we're going to act like we know all those things and the result is bad."

Your summary is spot on
I'm just gonna take the position that man has nothing to do with any of this and there is not one single shred of evidence that proves scientifically that there is in that big ball in the sky has a lot to do with it

Has almost (99.9999999%) to do with it. The 0.0000001% is energy from cosmic rays and neutrinos.

They already made The Day After Tomorrow

If we let egomaniacs like Bill Gates or even Elon Musk do terraforming crap here they will mess it up big time. Latter wants to block sunlight with a big network of solar/orbiting data centers.

Al Gore can fix global cooling

This movie was from 1979, about a second Ice age.
