I lost three of my Grandparents to pneumonia...two at the age of 85. I was told by a hospice nurse that there is not a ton that you can do once someone at that age has pneumonia

But obviously she's too petty for that. So if it takes death to replace her then so be it.

How does a site appoint themselves as the end all be all of determining if stuff is real or not?
Snopes was founded by husband-and-wife Barbara and David Mikkelson. Barbara claiming in legal documents he embezzled $98,000 of company money and spent it on 'himself and prostitutes'.
Snopes.com founder David Mikkelson's new wife Elyssa Young is employed by the website as an administrator. She has worked as an escort and porn actress and despite claims website is non-political ran as a Libertarian for Congress on a 'Dump Bush' platform.
Its main 'fact checker' is Kimberly LaCapria, whose blog 'ViceVixen' says she is in touch with her 'domme side' and has posted on Snopes.com while smoking pot.
See this is all you have to do be appoint yourself as the sole determiner of truth--you have to hire the right people. Guardian

When people ask me with quizzical looks on their face why I voted for DJT its 3 reasons I tell them.
One is most likely drunk at the moment. Two is all in the news right now and three is the subject of this thread.

My grandmother died at 65 from pneumonia. She had COPD though. She really was relatively healthy other than that. She went from sick to pneumonia to gone very quickly. I was shocked. My grandfather on the other side smoked a pack a day for 70 years and looked like death my whole life before he passed.

She literally released a concurring opinion this week. While concurrences don't require the approval of other court members, the general rule is that opinions are not final and may be revised until the day before the release. Because of that, one would expect that the Court would have sought her approval for release of the full opinion, including her concurrence, the day before.
If that's the case, she was able to do so as of Sunday. Any pneumonia would be a relatively new development. I highly doubt that the Court would release an opinion that shared the views of a justice they knew was un a comprised and incapable-to-vote state.

There are MANY people who work until the day they die. Are they all petty? What special insight do you have regarding her motivations that we are not privy to?
Most 85 year old women that seem barely capable of walking or speaking clearly or thinking coherently are not still on the job. Especially when that job requires a tremendous amount of work and the resulting decisions impact the entire nation.
I wouldn't want someone in her condition to be an air traffic controller, brain surgeon, or health inspector either.

The website's founder, David MIkkelson, is now soliciting donations to keep the website running after a nasty shareholder dispute has landed in a San Diego County courtroom.
So far, according to Snopes.com GoFundMe.com page Mikkelson has raised at the time of this writing $649,732 in just three days time, money Mikkelson says is needed to keep the website afloat.
Allegations from Mikkelson's divorce paint the website CEO as a money-hungry playboy, who "nickel and dimed" his ex-wife — and former Snopes.com owner — as well as spent nearly a hundred-thousand dollars on prostitutes and trips to exotic places. The suit claims the professional escort and former adult film star, Elyssa Young, whose escort name is Eryn O'Bryn, is Mikkelson's new wife. Young, according to one of the shareholders suing Mikkelson, is now on the company's payroll and accompanies Mikkelson on trips on the company's dime.
In 2015 Proper Media, a San Diego-based internet media company, signed a contract to manage content and oversee advertising for Snopes.com. A year later the owners of Proper Media agreed to purchase 50 percent of shares in Snopes.com's parent company, Bardav Inc., from Mikkelson's then estranged-wife. The buyout gave Proper Media's majority shareholders, Christopher Richmond and Drew Schoentrup control of 40 percent of Bardav.
According to court documents, Richmond and Schoentrup are using allegations in David Mikkelson and his ex, Barbara Mikkelson's divorce to show that the fact-checking CEO is financially corrupt.

Our hyper partisan world has debased us. You, me -everybody. We are tapping into our collective unconscious like bots-we breathe it in from the culture-we feel perfectly justified to cheer on the ill health and death of our fellow Americans. It's the thin line between being a politically-woke citizen and being an ideologically-possessed polibot.
