But every day I'm told by military officers on LinkedIn that the war in Ukraine is totes necessary and going swimmingly. The French assessment must be wrong.

Our government has never given a frick how many Ukrainians have died or will die and also wants as many dead Russians as possible. And we’re willing to spend whatever amount of money it takes, push any lie necessary, blackmail and threaten anyone that tries to stop the killing, interfere with any foreign government that works for a ceasefire, and sabotage any work for a peace plan so we can get as many dead bodies and destroyed lives as possible and make our defense company executives and politicians richer. Idk if it was true but I remember about a year ago there were videos of govt officials ripping ppl of the streets or abusing defectors. frick Ukraine.

In NATO’s drive to weaken Russia through the war, we’ve ironically given them two years of practice in mitigating or outright defeating NATO weapons and tactics. Not to mention depleting NATO weapons stocks.

Their point is that Russian convicts are not given wooden guns and being ordered to charge Ukrainian line in human waves, with corpses left on the field unattended to rot. That's the propaganda yarn being spun by western sources.
The leaked French intel says that is complete BS. Russian battlefield reinforcement is being handled efficiently in accordance with, as you correctly put it, well established standard military protocol.
