Rural Ft. Bend is as red as can be. There are just too many folks like KP in the NE part of the county. It’s a shite show at the county level. And they just gerrymandered the shut out of the county precincts to make it worse.

KP is a grandstanding idiot and I don't believe that we have enough available land for Disney.

Lived in central FL (post-Disney) but the native pre-Disney Floridians despised Disney. It transformed their little paradise into a tourism magnet.

Sounds like he is referring to the thousands of jobs and billions in investments that Disney would bring to the area, not that he was offering Disney billions. F him anyway for this bs but I’m reading that as he is seeing dollar signs for what Disney could do for him, not vice versa. The county doesn’t “provide thousands of good paying jobs” TO Disney.

Also, if Disney were allowed self governance then, they would have controlled and built their connections to the interstate.
Essentially, Reedy Creek is like one of those Tax Increment Financing Districts that Louisiana or parishes create to allow extra taxes to be collected or redirect taxes collected in an area to be used for that particular area. Except that Reedy Creek takes it to another level where it is essentially a city like structure for services, but there are few if any residents to complain about services or taxes.
