I find it interesting that multiple people interviewed said the legislation confused them, since in their view, blacks already had equal rights.

A few things stand out to me.
-Not a single fatty in sight.
-The interviewer didn't try to advocate for any side, just asked them their opinions and left the rest up to them.
-The interviewer never asked for their names, where they worked, if they knew any black people, etc.

It always amazes me to see that in old videos or pics. It’s sad, honestly.
I now have a step daughter and have been attending her school events. It’s insane how many 16 year old fatties are out there.
Every class had a fat kid back in the day. Now, it’s a class full of fat kids and a handful with good genetics.

"More than one way to skin a cat" is the analogy that came to mind.

I see it in my little town as well.
And it's anecdotal, but I see a common thread- wealth class. The kids with working parents that are more financially sound and stable, tend to be more athletic, into sports and fit. The kids from more destitute families that are on SNAP, seem to be the majority of the fatties.
Maybe that's just my area, but it's what I saw all throughout the time when my kids were in school. And we were/are solidly middle class and all five of our kids were (and still are) trim and fit.

My oldest granddaughter was stick thin for her first 9 years on Earth. My second granddaughter was literally nicknamed “Birdie”. #1 is now 13, 5’5” and a bill and a half. #2 is now 9 and we’re expecting her menstrual cycle to start at any moment. It’s what’s in their food now. I’m trying to be respectful when it comes to their mothers, but “svelte” doesn’t apply!

I liked the one that said they have the same opportunities to build up their side of town as we do ours (paraphrase). Good point.
Albany is tabbed The Good Life City but we down here call it The Short Life City, for good reason.

Go drive through Albany, GA and see how it worked out for them… then you’ll figure out why the people interviewed weren’t fans of the bill. I’m not advocating either way just stating a fact.

Why are you posting this? President Trump was almost killed again by Democrats and you want to relitigate the CRA of 1964?

We go down there every year for the state track meet.
The best part of Albany is those 1950s homes.
They haven't had a lot of good development since then.

Good observations. I'll add a couple.
-We've come a long way, from a commonly used word, to one which will ruin my life if I echo it in public.
-Hams' .... 48c / pound.

Yeah it didn't work out.

Albany, Georgia, has a significantly higher crime rate than the national average, with a Niche safety grade of D- and a Store Space assessment placing it in the 8th percentile for safety.

Albany has a below-average school district, with only 27% of students proficient or higher in math, and only 25% in reading.

They did. That was before we illegally and unconstitutionally expanded the definition of a “right” to mean a right to others’ property (Public Accommodation clause) and a right to vote (Voting Rights Act), neither of which is an inherent, natural right.

No, they don’t, they have deplorable schools

Yikes
Voting is not a right. That is an invention of the egalitarian left. Neither is there a right to be served by others in their establishment.
