What’s sad is that much of that meat would go to waste. I’d argue that most average hunters are decent at best in butchering game in good conditions, and would fail epically butchering in summer heat without AC. Normal folks wouldn’t stand a chance.

I can run a large freezer off of my 550 amp hour lithium bank, charged via solar, indefinitely. I don't want to rely on fuel.

Alcohol and cigarettes will be worth more in trading for goods than money in a real breakdown.

Yep. All these people talking about relying on plant products would be in for a rude awakening. Animal protein is the key to not just surviving but thriving if SHTF.

And drugs - both medical and illicit - will blow them both out of the water.

Four 105amp hour Lion Energy batteries. And an EcoFlow River Pro with auxiliary battery. 3000w Renogy inverter. Need a lot more panels.

Make sure you get the O2 absorbers as well. This site is made in USA and where I got most of my mine.

I can intermittent fast like a champ and so long as I don't lose power for an extended period of time I've got enough meat to last at least a year

Either dog food or cannibalism. I need to see if the food board has any recipes or marinades.

Would this work starting with a warm freezer, rather than already cold with ice?

I just figured keeping it cold would require less work than getting it cold.

Unless you started two years ago, I would agree with you. We started two years ago plus have a large garden. Took up pressure canning maybe 3 years ago.
