You aren’t making sense. If Trump is truly in a commanding lead, then I’m effectively arguing the candidates should agree to unify behind him if he wins. Of course I expect Trump to make the same pledge.

What’s the deadline on this retarded anti-freedom pledge?

And if someone signs and then doesn’t adhere, what are the ramifications?

It’s the equivalent to a pinky swear. Loyalty pledge, what is this, the Soviet Union?

You sure all the Ron supporters are ready to pledge undying loyalty to Trump when he gets the nom?

DeSantis will 100% publicly support Trump if Trump wins the primary.

Trump cultists are pissed about this. We all know a quality man like DeSantis will do what’s best for the movement in the unlikely scenario that he doesn’t get the nomination. This is for a narcissist like Trump who cares more about himself and his legacy than the country.

Yes because most GOP voters don’t trust the GOP itself anymore not to do swamp creature things after 2016-2020.

Back to the OP...

This is how the establishment/Ronna ensures Trump doesn't go third party.
quote:

The new oath, which includes a promise to “endorse” the GOP nominee and requires a candidate to pledge not to run as an independent or third-party candidate, mirrors language adopted by the Republican National Committee for its first debate.
They know full damned well DeSantis or any GOPe candidate running-- would never. DeSantis would go to the bank laughing and enjoy a six figure, or board seat stint on Fox News, or a Chairmanship in DC, Like Romney, Rubio, McCain, Paul Ryan.

I’ll vote DeSantis in a heartbeat, but this kowtowing to the GOP is exactly the concern Trump voters, like me, have with DeSantis. I don’t know his stance on unenforceable pledges, but I certainly know what the fanboys think. It is a cause of concern.

A private organization (the Republican party) wants to limit access to the privileges and benefits provided by that organization, by demanding adherence to the rules of that organization.

The horror!
