I feel like SCOTUS gets the finger pointed at them when in reality it should be the do-nothing Congress that addresses these issues. Though SCOTUS basically broke Congress even worse with their NC gerrymandering ruling and Citizens United.

It's telling that anyone would be happy about it.

Even if you think it's legally correct - it's objectively bad and promotes lawlessness.

Which obviously is your sign as to the good/bad faith of those cheering the outcome.

So ACB didn’t want to legislate from the bench yesterday, but Roberts constitutionalized birthright citizenship?

He’s a vindictive little bitch. Especially doing it this week OF ALL WEEKS!!

So a ruling that confirms the status quo of something we have been doing for the past 160 years or so is the bullet in the head of the USA? Give me a break.

Angry people who are basic failures at life are always searching for someone or something to blame it on. The government. The secret cabal. The Jews. Big Corporations. Whatever.

The people I know who are success have been successful no matter who was in the White House or which party controlled congress. And in general they're optimists when it comes to the future of America.

These guys who say "it's over" or "America is circling the drain"... what they mean is that they are the ones circling the drain.

Joke of a SC as well as people who think you are able to have a country but cannot control the border.

The Court quite literally just ruled that border patrol can turn people away before they have a chance to make BS asylum claims

Unfortunately, no surprise.

Roberts and ACB have been two outstanding gifts courtesy of W and DJT respectively.

The Dem appointed “liberal” judges always come through but we evidently can’t ever depend on having nice things on the GOP side of the ledger.

Those rash of young men that powered their way into the country are about to do work for the various groups that they came in for

Amendment. Pass an amendment.

That is the only way to fix the issue. It needs to be done but it won't be done.

Then it should have been 9-0 to uphold the EO.
Yep. Just like the 2A should only apply to muskets. Clearly the founding fathers weren't thinking of semi-auto firearms.

The USA effectively has no borders nor any control over the conferring of citizenship.

As expected, Roberts and Amy lead the charge!

This is all true !

Take it up with the language of the amendment. We all know what it meant when it was written but it still says what it says. Knew this was going to happen when this all first started.

It stood no chance.. The text was clear. It needs to be changed and done away with, but good luck with this lot in congress.

Even if Congress passed an amendment there is no way it is getting ratified.

Literal anarchy now.

This isn't funny. The Sun isn't rising tomorrow. It's Revelations - fire, brimstone, flying pigs. The whole enchilada (cooked by birthright immigrants, no doubt!).

It's not the purpose of SCOTUS to affirm the merits of laws and the constitution. That would be the very definition of "legislating from the bench".

I'd love to hear what you mean about "optimists when it comes to the future of America"

- More isolation of young people who can't find meaningful relationships or work or own homes?
- More SSRIs for women?
- Even lower birth rates?
- Fewer community connections?
- Declining ability to even fathom one working parent households?
- Less industrialization?
- More ethnic enclaves?

Oh, you mean GDP. Got it.

Why don't we do a Convention of the States and dix everything? An amendment will never pass because of the 3/4 requirement.

Roberts is likely the single worst, most destructive SCOTUS justice in the history of the country

Can you even imagine if the Chinese communists started flying plane after plane or shipping ship after ship, all filled with pregnant Chinese women, into America?

What a world it would be!!

You can't tell this crowd that. They'd rather beat their chests and scream DEEP STATE.

I'm pretty conservative but I would have probably voted with the majority today. Remember when Scalia talked about textualism, plain language, and originalism? This is part of it. There are no penumbras this time.
