Will money be moved from people’s accounts? Yes.
Is she asking for permission? No.
Can they opt out? No.
Are you going to run around playing semantics games to distract and deflect away from that fact? Definitely.

What is “more effective?” Does that mean riskier?
Yes, it is more risky, and that is a legitimate criticism. But they’re not being forced to do so.

Where are you getting anything about consent? There is nothing in what she said that indicates the government will force anybody to do anything.
What do you think these ""proposals"" they are talking about are? Sending the people pamphlets on the benefits of capital investment? Holding meetings discussing rates of return? Free financial consultation?
You think the European people don't know how to invest? The concept of equities are above their intellectual abilities?

this board. Investing in companies and earning a return on those investments is now Communism.
I think the government investing your money without your consent, in the companies of their choice, feels communistic.

In support of what, exactly?
I'm trying to make sure people melting understand what is actually being discussed in OP. We can't discuss the merits of that until everyone engaged stops posting silliness, fantasy, and dishonesty

Exactly! Whatcha want to bet that the “companies of their choice” are their buddies Green companies.
This would be nothing but a huge transfer of wealth to further sink Europe.

This is why I never trust any elected official. No matter who it is.

Well, why do we not connect the dots here.
There is $10trillion in private savings accounts. She estimates they can get $590billion. Since the second number is less than the first, this would point to people being able to opt out.

If it’s being done with knowledge and consent of the owner, then I think that’s fine.

That's maybe a scintilla better but still shite.

No he's well into his "that's not what's happening" dance using semantics while refusing to condemn the thing being discussed.

You people kill me. You’re free to look up the details of these proposals. Or, you could just eat up the bullshite rage bait in the OP. I have a suspicion of what you will choose to do.

but this just seems like a way for the banks to utilize the savings money while the consumer will see no difference
Aren't these deposits the way that banks can offer loans to people?
Would it change what the banks had on hand to count towards their loan offerings if $$ was moved to other investments?
