Fire them all.

Well you do have to hand it to them if they hike to the top and then let that flag down over the edge about the valley floor "thousands" of feet down. I get vertigo on the I10 bridge in Lake Charles.

Would be incredibly stupid if they did this on the clock.

Thats just about what needs to be done. You know the remaining employees are going to make it seem as apparent as possible to look understaffed. They are going to sit on their asses to prove that the park/forest can't operate at all if a few of their comrades get cut.

Translation: Visitors to Yosemite would never know about these devastating cuts if we didn't tell them about it through performance art. Our jobs don't actually benefit the park or its visitors, but we deserve them anyway.

Went to Yosemite last year. The park is beautiful, but it was so overcrowded we only got to a few of the spots we wanted to see.
Same with Grand Canyon and Smokies park. It's not really fun anymore. There should be some sort of admittance fee and/or lottery for entry tickets. If you've ever driven through Smokies park on that road going 25mph behind a bunch of RV's, some of which are spewing blue smoke all the way up the hill, you question the "conservation" mission.
There are quite a few parks however that are very quiet and amazing.

Our national parks are one of the best things the federal government does. Trump and Musk are making a mistake, firing the people who take care of trails and bathrooms in the parks. I love how Kash told Elon to go f*&%k himself.

All national parks should revert to the states.

They will be fired for this.

Never happened.
He did say he would handle his own employee evaluations, which will like be way more egregious than what Elon is doing.
If you are against purging federal employees, as you appear to be, you may not want to be complimenting Kash.

National Park services are in definite need of an overhaul
Why?
Our parks are an absolute treasure, and should be considered as a great sense of pride to our country. I can’t recall a bad experience at a park, other than the fact that they’ve become basically too popular.

It is illegal to do what they did due to the Hatch Act. All employees and volunteers have been warned multiple times post Ranger Reddit Thread. Every election cycle they are reminded do not engage while on duty or in uniform. You can protest or do whatever but you cannot tie it to your employment. In other words keep your work and private life separate especially on social media.
Every park does have a designated open space for protest and I have seen several protests in these areas.

Fire everyone involved in this stunt for insubordination against the duly elected President

They messed up and fired the wrong workers and are now hiring even more seasonal workers than last year. At least someone in the WH saw this as a bad move.

At least 50 jobs are being restored to help maintain and clean parks, educate visitors and collect admission fees, according to two people familiar with the agency’s plans who spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter.
The moves come as the park service said in a new memo that it will hire up to 7,700 seasonal positions this year, up from about 5,000 promised earlier this week and higher than the three-year average of 6,350 seasonal workers. The park service has about 20,000 employees.

Imagine if you were unhappy with your employer and you hung a banner with their logo upside down over the front of your office building.

They can end these ridiculous reservation systems across the national park system while they are at it.
