Hit us with your best shot.

Maintain SS and Medicare payroll tax rates and incorporate them into the general fund, and slash outlays in both programs in half. Use the other half towards the deficit.

Cut Medicaid in half

Cut military spending by 25%

That's roughly $2T. Just so you know, that draconian set of measures will just get us net positive in terms of spending (depending on how 2024 shakes out, it may be right at neutral). The interest on our debt would still be growing every year.

Hes trying a gotcha on you "small gov liars" who were for the debt limit increase so Orange wouldnt have to fight Schumer and the shiteheads in March

All because the circus clowns of Roy and Massie fought against it

It all boils down to his severe TDS

Its such a lazy arse shot, I'm surprised the Ron loyalists take it.

As if you would have gotten ANY waste reduction plans with literally any other candidate. AT best, you would have gotten a few budget cuts or temporary spending freezes amounting to almost nothing.

They obviously were against the latest CRs that MAGA types created an internal civil war over, leading a faction of that MAGA civil war to call them "RINOs", in absolute peak irony.

What does this have to do with me, a noted non-"Ron loyalist"?

Did you see the RINOS actually putting forth real legal effort in this area?

They want lower spending.

MAGA types do not, when it comes down to it, no matter how often they proclaim to be "small government conservatives" and melt over spending (like Ukraine)

The lone exception is SDV, who has always called these people out as not reflecting the actual values of MAGA (here and with abortion). He's no hypocrite

It's amazing that you hated Gaetz for demanding at least 12 appropriation bills from each committee to reconfigure the budget process instead of the current continuing resolution process. The entire point of passing separate appropriations out of committee was to identify unpopular cuts and spending, i.e., have the information available to hold our congressmen accountable.

But you fought hard for business has usual, CRs and all in your beloved debt based system.

That's irrelevant.

Were you talking about me?

If so, why lie?

If not, why derail the thread with irrelevancy?

Had he only cashed in on those 0.00000001% odds of winning the presidency, he would have surely hit that 2T goal!

And we only probably have 2 years to make progress, so cutting even $500B (which is a fantasy in itself) is like farting in a hurricane.

If 2 years of progress starts to show meaningful results, why wouldn't more people turn their vote away from democrats and their control of DC?

No, I said his strategy was poor and I was proven right. The full circle with the same defenses of KM being used on MAGA Mike last week was literally perfection.

I told you that his plan would not result in 1 appropriation bills, and I was proven right

There is a difference between what will be recommended to be cut by DOGE and what our good friends in congress will actually vote in favor of cutting. It’s not just govt payroll potentially being cut, it’s stupid green scam initiatives, subsidies to fund illegal immigrants, earmarked entitlements, etc.

There is 2 T there to be cut but it’s very unlikely that much in cuts will be passed by congress.

The same reason why MAGA is for big spending now: they won't like the effects of less spending and they won't perceive that as "meaningful results"

We are only talking about the government spending angle and not the impact this would have on the day to day lives of Americans (hint: there would be a LOT of pain and economic malaise).

That's why we're $30T+ in debt, currently.
