This shouldn't have even been an issue. Too many people in positions of authority are pussies. We need to abolish as many bureaucrats as we can.

I lived on Eastern Carolina and VaBch coasts and this was seen daily. At Fort Story beach àmphib landings and drills were common.
This should have just been considered a drill or transport to mock war and sea trials/drills in the olden days.

I'd bet on it. Anything military or patriotic equates nastiness from them.

We live in an awesome country. When our boys fly their lethal war machines over a beach and everyone gets up to wave and clap it lets you know we aren’t scared of our government.

I have vacationed on St. Simons, Ga. for years.
There is Fort Stewart, Kings Bay submarine and Mayport naval less than 100 miles away. I have seen many helicopters near the beach and thought they were just getting their hours in.

We don't have enough moral and decent people in high places to enact lasting change for the good of the nation.
Seems those who crave power and wealth have figured out the most effective way to obtain these things is through high political office or to become entrenched in the top echelon of the various government bureaucracies.
