That is just a snippet of the conversation. What it does show is that the reporter was actually in the group chat and there was real time discussion of the launch of the first wave of planes.
I don't think this release adds or takes away anything of substance.

You could be right. I just assumed it would be a very straightforward investigation that could be done in minutes.
The actual texts are from several (9?) days ago. The fact that Goldberg sat on them until just before a Senate hearing where Gabbard and Ratcliffe were scheduled to testify under oath raises eyebrows.

From the information I've seen, only his initials appeared in the group chat.
I just went to a group I'm in on Signal and tapped the plus sign to add a member. My contacts appeared under the same names I saved them as in my phone contacts list. BUT the person can change how their name appears in the app. So you would have to select the name from your list of contacts but the contact may have their name appear as only initials in the app. I hope that makes sense.

Just his initials.
The only innocent POSSIBLE explanation I have heard was that the staffer included the wrong "JG" from a contact list. That was just speculation, though.

This is silly. China has satellites. They know the range of our planes. They don't need to know the time of an attack in a different country to figure that out.

Just admit the frick up in its entirety and move on. People will forget about it by Saturday afternoon if you do that. Denials, casting aspersions engaging in fanciful conspiracy theories, needlessly keeps it in the spotlight and gives people like Goldberg attention

The first is SOP for the WH and the second won't happen as Trump is more likely to pardon rather than punish the screw ups.
Spin it anyway you like but know this, it was a MAJOR eff up by people who at a minimum should have a staff that knows better if not themselves.
I have zero confidence in any of them that this won't happen again.
