It’s not a major eff up - but embarrassing nonetheless. I think they pretty much just trusted that they were secure - that was the mistake.
They are doing the right thing now - showing transparency. Nothing more to say. There were no groundbreaking subjects broached - heck Trump says all this shite in public.

The absolute joy with which the asshat never Trumpers pounced on this was transparent. The next bullshite "scandal" will get the same reaction from them, too bad they are incapable of embarrassment.

Because it doesn’t answer specifically all the who, what, when, why and how. You would need specific units, what the mission was, when it is occurring (this is the only thing really addressed), the commanders intent and down to the details of the package other than F-18s/Reapers.
We have F-18s and Reapers all over the world. So could this been a mission in South America or Australia. You need the entire context to be able to draw out any actionable intelligence.

So that is your end-state? Please post examples of you doing this over the past 4 years. Should Milley and the Combatant Commander have resigned after Abbeygate? How about Austin after going MIA for a week? How about Myorkas or Buttiegede(sp?). You have to have some examples of you wanting “incompetent politicians with enough integrity to resign” right?
I mean in a knee jerk mode, I already have an idea of who should resign, but want it thoroughly investigated first because being on the outside looking in I don’t have all the information to make a judgement,
