The DSA is mainstream enough among the left to get on ballots as democrats.
Every democrat here will vote for these people when they inevitably make it to their ballots.

I am not now, nor have I ever been, a socialist. I am a capitalist. I believe in the structure of the federal government. I have no fundamental problem with the Constitution except for the Sixteenth Amendment.
That being said, the whackos in the DSA are not committing sedition. They are not advocating conspiring to overthrow the U.S. government, preventing the execution of federal laws by force, or seizing federal property. They are advocating for constitutional alterations in the structure of the federal government through voting. That's not sedition.
Their plans will never happen. The majority of people will never vote to abolish the Senate, the Supreme Court, or the office of the President.
The DSA has completely nutty ideas, but their statements are not seditious.

Sounds good to me.

Are you looking for something more complicated than "Because they will replace the current enforcement agencies with THEIR OWN enforcement agencies."
You think they intend to just melt down all the weapons held by the government and leave an armed population? Ehhh no.
It would be a civil war before that happens but they very much would replace the current agencies with their own and give them the weapons of the old enforcement agencies and then they would try to disarm the citizens. Hard stop.

But Republicans aren't giving us a reason to vote for them. Not being democrats who want to tear up the Constitution just isn't a good enough reason.

No expert but if your sworn to uphold the constitution and those that want to dismantle it are running for office is that not the epitome of committing treason on both ends not stopping and trying to implement.
