Dr. Phil Speaks to the Government UFO Disclosure Plan

I'm not really concerned with the opinions of the X user here, but thought I would bring this along for those interested in the UFO disclosure stuff anyways. Dr. Phil supposedly has been given advance access to the files, so his POV might be considered valuable as their motivations and the possible pitfalls of what they're trying to do with all of this. 
My question though is, wouldn't them giving him advance access to the files be them trying to address the very concerns he raises? He is a psychologist, is he not? I presumed that is precisely why he has been granted access. Anyways, I digress, and agree with him. There are serious concerns involved with dumping stuff like this on people. If you want evidence of this, just watch the reaction to some of the people to this very thread. People freak out over this stuff like emotional children.

There will never be an ideal time to tell the public we are not alone. If the government told everyone today there will be certain segments of the population that will freak out. We will probably see some commit mass suicide. You will see the nuts come out of the woodwork no matter if we drop this bombshell on the world today or in another 100 years. There will just never be a perfect time or way to break the news. I think the public has come an awful long way in a very short period of time on the subject. I think the vast majority of people will accept the news and manage to still wake up everyday and live life like they normally would. Just rip the bandaid off already and tell us the truth.

One of them spoke to this the other day. I wanna say it was either Scavino or Rubio. They said because he is well known and trusted. I get it. If you picked some random psychologist from some university, even if they're respected within their field, most people aren't gonna know who the frick they are. And trust among doctors isn't too great at the moment. Was it the best idea?
As for the rest, I tend to agree. I think the public has come a long way, but there is still going to be a pretty substantial cultural shock when it finally happens. A lot of people are going to clutch their bibles, insist they're demons, and that the end times are upon us.
Think of that movie Contact. The wacko that commited terrorism in the name of religion. There will be some of that.

Oh yeah I’m sure there will be. Hell look at the impact a damn great comment had on 30 something individuals back in the 90’s. The Heavens Gate cult killed themselves because they thought a ship was hiding in the tail of the Hale-Boppe Comet. I will spare you the whole story but you will have nuts like that. You will have religious radicals like you said ready to go to the extremes. For the most part though I think most of us will be curious and fascinated to hear everything.

I dint know about disclosure. But there are more stars in the sky than grains of sand on earth and each star has planets. I doubt we are alone. I also don't know if they could reach us.

My personal opinion on this is that mostly we are dealing with ultraterrestrials. Meaning, they didn't have to travel far. They're from right here. I also feel like there is a good chance it's a mixed bag and we see some of both.

Let me guess you believe in all the garbage answers the government has tried to feed the public for decades on the subject. So our pilots flying million dollar aircraft with the best radar systems man can develop are picking up swamp gas or the planet Jupiter lol.
